NotThePars
The London riots still an absolute fount for ostensibly liberal commentators showing their arses demanding the army get sent in.

They'll probably have ceded the six counties to the EU for access to financial markets by that time so it'll probably look like a st george cross

Perfectly highlighted in this article today in the Guardian were they talk about the riots in England 10 years ago in terms of UK and Britain. https://www.theguardian.com/books/2021/aug/06/the-uk-riots-10-years-on-young-people-were-watching-their-futures-disappear-before-their-eyes You hit the nail on the head England has a great identity old and new but its as weighed down by the union as Scotland is. Independence for Scotland and a united Ireland wont just rejuvenate Scotland and Ireland it will be the best thing to happen to England too. England will be able to reinvent and rediscover itself and it will thrive too Edited August 7, 2021 by BigDoddyKane

No, the EU flag still flies at Holyrood. The UK is still a Council of Europe member and they use the same flag as the EU.

Ironically, the majority of folk in Scotland probably have more in common with the majority in the rest of the UK in thinking that this is laughable behaviour. I’d imagine your average person in England would cross the street to avoid the kind of feral who feels the need to proclaim, “we’re in political union - look, I’ve even put a huge flag in my garden to prove I don’t want to be independent. Do you like me now?” Britnattery in Scotland really has lurched into classic Irish unionism, and just as with angry and aggressive NI unionists, most of the people to whom they’re trying to prove their loyalty are far too normal to want anything to do with them.

Certainly a much better example than the actual government spending money from the public purse on flagshagging
