Detournement
An amazing thread linking the Telegraph's defence editor to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and US Neocons. The blow back from corporate stooges should be extremely entertaining.
welshbairn
Apparently Khashoggi was wearing an Apple watch set to record and synched to his mobile that he gave to his fiance who was waiting outside. Thus the grizzly recording. https://www.foxnews.com/world/khashoggis-apple-watch-may-have-recorded-evidence-turkish-media-reports

Is it subterranean just now? Would explain the troglodytes that dwell there. Razed.

Not everyone lives here through choice, you know. Also, a lot of very famous people were razed here. See this exhaustive list - quite a few nutters on here too. https://www.ranker.com/list/famous-people-from-burnley/reference
Granny Danger
Some very scary stuff going on in Italy at the moment. Reminiscent of the very early days on Nazi Germany. If there is no international resistance to these measures it will lead to even more draconian ones.

I have no idea where the U.K. is heading but you’re doing a disservice comparing the existing regime to the actions of the Italian government.

On a serious note, shops are just being closed down here regardless, in favour of multinational tax dodging corporations. It's not exactly better.

On the plus side you can start a retail business from a bedsit.

On the plus side you can start a retail business from a bedsit. That's true. However, creating a retail business from your bedsit is just as doomed to fail, because even that sector of the market has been cornered. Larger corportations will always be able to buy in bulk, get their stock cheaper and thus sell it on cheaper than your shitty wee bedsit business could ever hope to do. You've failed before you've even started.

It's really not as bad as it's being spun. If shops remaining open late is causing issues for residents and those residents are asking the party that they voted into office to do something about it, then they're quite within their right to do so.
Cheese
Yeah Italy seems to be sliding into Fascism pretty quickly. Bit of a pain in the arse that it looks like our last few years on this dying rock will be spent fighting the same battles we did 70 years ago.
