They can do what they like and nothing can be done but Boris Johnson can be voted out or if it's that bad we can call another Indy referendum.

If calling another referendum is a suitable emergency exit for the Leave scenario going sour then why don't you think it would be for the Remain scenario going sour.

But what should I be scared of them doing in your opinion?

Making unpopular laws.

We may not be able to have another EU referendum.

You'll need to be more specific than that mate, one man's unpopular law is another's utopian ideal. What are 'they' going to do in 'Brussels' that I should be scared of in the next 5 years compared to a right wing Tory govt.?

Frighteningly, a straw poll of friends and family makes me think Leave will win on Thursday. I imagine a lot of working class Yes voters will end up being working class Leave voters, meaning the Yes vote, certainly in the case of my social circle, was driven by self-interest rather than sovereignty.

If you extend the concept of 'self-interest' to your family, community and country as a whole then I voted YES through self-interest.

I know a lot of folk to the left of labour (SWP, Socialist Party etc.) and they are solidly voting out. Anything that unites the SWP and the BNP has pretty much got to be bad and I'll be voting remain.

Sterling analysis. By sterling I mean stupid, simplistic and naive.

It doesn't affect me I don't like Bananas straight or otherwise

Anyone who doesn't like bananas shouldn't have the right to vote. On the other hand, anyone who doesn't like banana.....

I've not met anyone in real life who's voting leave. There was one leftie Mancunian Vegan who's since changed his mind

For all its bitchiness the good thing about this thread is that it means we've interacted with people who we share little in common with.

Otherwise we tend to interact mainly with people like ourselves.

The only ones I know are my Mum and Step-Dad - they believe all the shite that the Daily Heil prints.

I can't give specific examples but what if they tell us we need to adopt the Euro for example?

Just found out today's Father's Day (by asking my wife).

Had a very nice day thanks. Over four hours of walking, plus sunbathing, drinking wine and a nice plate of spaghetti bolognese tonight.

Still the hug is most welcome and I will cherish it.

Does anyone voting remain really like the clusterfuck that is the EU? You are voting to give them more power over you on a plate, are you that blind that you don't see? All these so called vetoes will be worth shit once remain wins and you will all say but I thought Cameron told us it would be OK and he will be long gone laughing all the way to some EU cushy number no doubt.

Weighing up the pros and cons I just see too many cons on the Leave side.

I also think the pros far outweigh the cons on the Remain side of the argument.

If we vote to Remain there will be I suspect another referendum in the future.

We vote to Leave that will be forever.

Not if we vote to remain.

What I mean is if they forced the Euro on the UK there would be a massive clamour for a second referendum and a definite 'out' result and probably rightly so.

So you can't identify anything that Brussels is going to do that I should specifically be worried about?

This will be our last chance. Remain will win so you can all sleep ok tonight.

Nice, had a lovely walk above Luss yesterday myself. Now, I have come to my conclusion on voting remain from a lot of factors. The SWP/BNP remark was only a bit serious.
