Fantastic video on MFC's social media re suicide prevention. Your club has just gone even further up in my estimations.

f**k sake man, loaning out Sammon what's the point when you could probably take him for free!!!

I would imagine it's so that if he turns out to be as absolute humpty as he's expected to by many, our good friends in the capital will still be paying the lions share of his wages, while he warms our bench instead of theirs.

Low risk for' Well.

It’s an excellent video by Motherwell, shame it appears to have been hijacked by an ex player of Robinson’s from Oldham who’s using to sling some pretty serious accusations his way.

Whilst I have sympathy with the boy if what he’s saying is true(there’s 2 sides to every story of course), by all means call Robinson out on it but go through the proper channels.

Doing it on twitter and labelling said video as ‘bollocks’ was surely not the time or the place. As always with social media, you’ve now got a lynch mob out wanting blood and with the boys tweet getting almost as much traction as Motherwell’s, the whole thing has now sadly started to overshadow what was an excellent initiative by the club.

I think the boy needs to be listened to, as he’s throwing some pretty serious accusations about and his comments have gained some amount of attention.

However, and I don’t think he should necessarily be condemned for this, the time and place for it isn’t immediately following Motherwell’s video.

There’s also every chance that SR had no idea of the impact that he/his actions could have on young footballers. Football is fucking ruthless and youngsters will be shattered and disappointed all the time when they’re told they’re not big, strong or good enough to make it. It could be that Robinson told the young lad that he needed to sharpen up a bit if he wanted to stay at Oldham/make a career out of it.

The fact that we don’t know what was said between them is exactly the reason that both parties need to be listened to, or to even speak to each other, to clear up what has already turned into a pretty ugly situation.

Given that reporting what happened on twitter yesterday is what journalism is mainly reduced to, this will inevitably end up in the Tabs with the guy doing the "tabloid sad face" photo. It's not ideal that he chose to air this on the back of a suicide prevention initiative but if it gets the video more publicity and more young guys see it as a result, it can only be a good thing IMO.  (If he has a legitimate complaint, he has every right to speak out of course and Robinson has the right of reply).

ETA - reading the comments, I see one helmet has tried to enlist the help of Piers Morgan :1eye

I obviously don't know what happened so there's a good chance I could be speaking out of turn, but if a manager not wanting you at a club, not playing you if you stay because you're not deemed good enough and your wages are taking up budget that could be used for a better player, is now being held up as bullying... then football probably isn't the career some people should be choosing.

It will be interesting to see if the bullying claims are brought up at our pre match press conference. Do we even have one for the league cup games?

Don't see why it should be, really. It has absolutely nothing to do with Motherwell and your club should just ignore it, publicly.

In which case why did the English FA decide to punt Mark Sampson for something that allegedly (or not) occurred when he was at Bristol Academy?

However, as noted above, it is an issue for Oldham, and not ourselves. And, in my opinion, raising awareness of the issue has to be welcomed.

Was Sampson not found guilt of racist abuse before he was sacked?

I reckon the twitter spat is a good thing.
MenandBoysCoalition, Peter Lloyd, JordanB.Peterson and Martin Daubney are good accounts to follow on Twitter for male related issues, especially for young men.
I'll stick with reading bananas posts on here for now.
I've a feeling he copies those guys word for word.
