Are these sizes right? I don’t like the idea of my size 36 waist being xl times 4 haha.

They look a bit out on the chest sizes, although Macron are a neat fit a Large is not a 36/38 inch chest. A have a large and I’m a 40inch chest.

Have the club themselves not said in the past that the Macron stuff is quite small and you should buy a size up from what you normally would? Worked for me so far - I'm usually an L but anything I have that's Macron has been XL and fitted me fine.

One of the best bits of pre-season coming up - people going mental on the club twitter about replica tops. "I can't need an 8XL, I'm usually a kids medium!" "I'm going on my holidays next week!", "It's all  bobbly after 2 washes!"

Nah I've just seen that, it's not accurate - was just copied straight from Macron and it's way out, we've pulled it now and will correct it

Edit - Updated online now, should be more accurate!

That's much more accurate... or less depressing... or something.  Definitely better.  If I'd still been a 4XL I wouldn't have been able to tuck into my bangers and mash for lunch.  So thanks for that :)

Someone on SO claiming he’s been in and around the club seems to be ITK 😃

In fairness the Weir to Brighton sale that was supposed to be going through (and was being reported by others, not just Nixon: BBC, Sky) has gone quiet.

Those were the two deals they were talking about this time last week to help with the payroll.

The Wigan administrator was in the press earlier saying that they weren't looking at a firesale.

Quote

"I think to be fair at any club, if bids at the right level come in, players are available.

"What we've not got here is a firesale.

"If offers come in that the manager feels are acceptable, and the transfer window is open, we'll obviously sit down and discuss it as any board at any club would do."

I mean, he would say that obvs but still...

I don't know what happening on SO but is Supermarv taking some sort of high ground after claims of Johnson and Moult?

Best ITK still was the talk about Nicky Law being signed and sealed at Sheffield United.  Still waiting on that.  Who was saying that again...

Probably been mentioned before so apologies but you know what percentage of the fee we are due?

No idea tbh.

I was just having a look at the announcement of his sale:

Quote

"Kipré joins the Latics for a significant fee, with the club also potentially earning more should the player excel at the DW Stadium. He has signed a three-year contract with the club."

Chief executive Alan Burrows said: “However, when the full balance of the fee is paid, it will go down as one of the most lucrative in Motherwell’s history, with the potential to be the most depending on how Cédric performs at Wigan."

Our accounts are public record and section 32. Events after the reporting date for accounts up to 31st May 2018 is as follows: "Cedric Kipre's player registration was sold to Wigan Athletic and this amounted to £750,000 excluding direct costs and future contingent fees."

So presumably the £750k was an initial payment subject to extras - Wigan apparently settled the full balance last season (it was The Scottish Sun who mentioned it when they were reporting the Hastie loan, I won't link to it - the copy is below).

Meanwhile, Wigan going into administration won't impact Well's finances.

When they sold defender Cedric Kipre to the Latics in a £1m deal in 2018 the fee was structured on an instalment basis.

But they received the final payment from the English Championship side earlier this year.

The problem I suppose is that Wigan are in administration and Kipré's about to go into the final year of his contract. There's also the fact that he (and other players) haven't been paid for June...I'm not sure Wigan have that much leverage if a decent-ish offer comes in.

Based on that it'd seem we'd be due a % of anything they get over £1m - unless there's some wacky clause in the agreement.
