Unfortunately it means Cameron needs to change his name to Colin and remain on Facebook / Twitter / X. This has reminded me that I'm sure I read once that travelling salesmen in the USA used to make a grilled cheese sandwich by putting their cheese piece in a brown bag and ironing it on both sides.

Grilled cheese is probably correct for North Americans
Claudia Gentile
I tried the good @Doctor Manhattan's air fryer toast on my break there - interesting - nice and crispy- would try again but a bit of a faff if you have a toaster. Shame you can't grill/toast/roast your cheese and bread in a Ninja though or at least I've not had any success.

If you're brave and you can cook both sides crisp and rapid on a closed gas bbq at top heat

Aye, I've used a frying pan for making a grilled/toasted/roasted cheese sandwich in the past. They call a grill a broiler I think? I need a fecking lie down.

I used them consistently when I went home for my lunch at secondary school. Make up a cheese sandwich, put it in the wee bag and pop it in the toaster. Was it as good as doing it in a toastie machine? No. Did it melt the cheese and make something resembling a toastie? Just about.
ropy
You used to get little cans of toast toppers when I was a boy, you need to put the bread under the grill for that stuff. All sorts of flavours.
