ropy
After much analysis I have decided that it was Moses goal, yesterday I was fairly sure it was Casey’s. I think the ball was going in but there was a defender there who may have prevented it crossing the line and Moses made sure.
Gianfranco
I work in EK and the Killie Pie people sell pies in Morrisons. I go every now and again because I love the haggis bites at the deli counter bit. They are f**king tremendous. Anyway I noticed Brownings had chicken curry pies which I’d never seen before. They were an extremely dry 4/10. Just as disappointing as a Killie pie.
Archie McSquackle
I got one of speciality pies on offer yesterday - steak and chorizo. Unfortunately it was burnt to the point it was a solid inedible mass inside and I took it back so missed the early VAR nonsense (still back in time for the lengthy delay though). To be fair to them, they apologised and gave me a replacement with no quibble - it was a fairly average 5/10.

I think it’s Moses goal, but I’m all in for the ‘Casey - Goal Scorer’ narrative, and I’m not willing to let the truth get in the way of that. Dingwall top of the pie league for me.

If that's sustained, it's a path to contentment, if not glory, but it's not being massively negative to caution it probably won't continue at this rate...and then if the attack doesn't make the jump hoped/needed, it's suddenly a long haul again. Had that thought myself, but it's actually great we're still finding goals while a brand new front line beds in / comes back from injuries. Plenty of other years this very circumstance would have had us struggling.

Can't comment on Kreftwerk, but I'm sure Mr Townsley scored a very late equaliser then a winner for us away at Dunfermline (or maybe my memory playing tricks), can't think of another 'high'light

It was a ridiculous goal - so frustrating that a winger of all people was offside. Halliday was great against Hearts and perfectly decent yesterday without hitting the heights.

Townsley did have his moments for us, scored v Celtic etc, and probably turned out 'ok' by the end...but the fact he's best remembered for the goal and celebration against us says it all. ropy
I think it is fair to say that Dan Casey has been the weak point in our defence, then we had yesterday…….i hope he wasn’t drug tested.

Clearly witnessed the wrong gigs. I thought he was absolutely awful. In fairness folk floated the idea that we might see a difference in Casey with a proper pre-season behind him. One where he hasn't spent the entire summer out on the lash. Perhaps this is it?

I think in McGinn/Gordon/Casey, we've probably hit on a very decent combination. I think the competition for defensive places is going to keep everyone sharp too. I couldn't have envisaged a situation where Balmer and Seddon weren't first choices given their pedigree - but all 5 of our defenders are 100% there on merit at the moment.

Yeah, long balls down the wing on the break caused havoc. I seem to remember a game at St mirren in particular where they kept pressing their defensive line up to half-way only to continually be caught by long diagonals. Once Townsley got going he was some speed and I thought he was unfairly maligned, we just needed to learn to play to his strengths (not high balls). Twaddle had a lot more trickery about him which probably explains why he had a much more successful career.
Vietnam91
Just thinking, is that a 3 weeks now and no injuries or extensions to return dates. Looks like that sacrificed goat has paid off.

Yeah I don't think it's a coincidence that we're getting something more like the Casey who looked rock solid next to Butcher (before his legs feel off) when Kettlewell first took the gig. Gordon seems to fulfil the "no-nonsense" centre half role Butcher did which allows Casey (and McGinn) to make those marauding runs out of defence.
