Poor form happens to every club etc. Of course, Gus McPherson is a proper west coast football man and Perth isn't really a football town, so we should shut up and know our place, although maybe put a bit let blunt, it will be the approach taken.
shibbydoo
f**k Flax or whatever his fucking name is. f**k Gus MacPherson. f**k Callum Davidson. The Browns own the club (at the moment) and it's Steve Brown's job to sort this shit out, WHETHER HE LIKES IT OR NOT. Man the f**k up and do your job, St Johnstone is our club and we demand it is run properly.

As much as Davidson is, rightfully, getting flack for the state of the club, those above him are just as much of an issue and ive little faith in them in terms of hiring a new manager. There were always signs Steve Brown couldn't be arsed (feel like he admitted in an interview tbh, but cant remember his exact words) but i cant believe hes genuinely let the club get in this state. Fair enough if he wants to get out and leave others to run it, but at least step in and try and sort things when its clearly gone to shit. Apart from a 6 game run around November, we've been shit and relegation level for 18 months, and hes just allowed that to continue.

sergie's no1 fan
James McFadden on sky just now saying it's a terrible decision . He had plenty of time to turn things around and was lucky to even see out last season.
PauloPerth
Thank you Callum Davidson for all the success that first season, goes down in the history books as an incredible achievement, and for the effort put in over the past 3 years. A club legend. Ultimately the right decision, and time to move on to ensure we stay up, get to the summer and start to build for next season.

SJFCtheTeamForMe
Statement well worded. To the point but fair to Callum as well.
PauloPerth
THE Football Club can today announce that it has mutually parted company with manager Callum Davidson. Callum has been in charge since the summer of 2020 and led us to that incredible Scottish Cup and League Cup success in his first season. But, after a meeting between Chairman Steve Brown and Callum today, it's been mutually agreed that a change is required. The Chairman said: "First and foremost, Callum is a friend and I hold him in high regard which is why this has been an extremely difficult decision to come to. "But we had an open and honest conversation and we both agreed that we must do what is right for St Johnstone. "We must always put our Football Club first. "Callum has been a brilliant manager for St Johnstone and led us to that Cup Double in 2021 and then European football. "But we feel results haven't been good enough in recent weeks and it's best for the Football Club to make a change at this stage. "I'd like to thank Callum for his service and dedication to us and wish him every success in the future. "He is a St Johnstone legend and always will be." Assistant manager, Steven MacLean, will take interim charge until further notice.

mizfit
It’s a shame it’s come to this. His place in the clubs history will never be forgotten, he’ll be a hero for the double and his performances as a player will be talked about for years. But he was never saving this, the rot had sadly set in. Let’s see how Macca does.
