Double Winning St Johnstone FC Thread

Wonder if Grant Savoury of Queen’s Park is on our radar.

Apparently outstanding for top of the table Queens this season, midfielder with 7 goals and 5 assists in the league.

A Celtic academy player but didn’t make it to first team. 22 years old.

Maybe an attacking midfielder is not our priority, but would be one for the longer term.

Was widely known in football circles that St Mirren took their Scottish Government loan and spent it on players. No one will be surprised about the figures they released today.

No player at St Johnstone has ever been paid as much as Scott Tanser earns in Paisley.

Maybe when he’s 34.

We have Max and Alex Ferguson.

Signing Savoury would simply be excessive and block the path of our own exciting players coming through.

Looking forward to see what he can do.

Both the manager and Liam Craig were at a Queens Park game a while back right enough

Was there not talk it was Patrick Jarrett they were looking at? Former Stoke youth player.

Yeah, think we just worked that out on here though, with Callum’s links to Stoke etc. Fairly sure Jarrett scored that night

So Liam Gordon has been carrying an injury the last few weeks, Davidson knowing this watched him make error after error at Aberdeen and left him on only to make another error that cost us a point! Davidson honestly just gets worse, just when you think he can’t get any more moronic.

And Mahon still can't get a look in.

Found the comments on Liam Gordon staggering. Clear to everyone that he hasn't been in great form over recent weeks then Davidson admits: "he's basically been playing through a tight hamstring for the last few games."

You fucking have a squad of over 30 players and were leaving Alex Mitchell on the bench. Infuriating.

Then his comments on Tony Gallacher made me laugh:  "With Tony, he gives you defensive solidity, now what we’ll ask of him is a little bit more going forward."

Fine, you think, then you remember he's been playing James Brown over him at left wing back. A modern day Cafu, for sure.

This nonsense surely can't continue much longer.

Both the local and national press never ever challenge him on the crap he waffles though.

after the Aberdeen game it was just word for word quote of how we played well. Why is no one asking him more about that? "Not a single shot on target in the first half and only one in the second. Is that really evidence of playing well?"

Same with the stuff there, Gallagher has barely played. First start this season. How can he show more if he's not playing?! The contradiction re Brown as well 🤷‍♂️

He walked out the press conference after the Aberdeen game, without answering, after being asked if Gordon was subbed of due to injury or poor performance.

Wonder if thats a one off?
