The one saving grace is that Dimi absolutely loves It here at St J. Could we attempt offering him an improved  deal ?

That is interesting and encouraging that Dimi loves it here and would make sense to offer an improved contract.

Knowing that he will continue to be recognised internationally and another season of consistent top performances could see a big move in the future.

Saints have always been a club to not stand in the way of players.

Contract building in a higher release clause, based on the past season and international recognition, with an agreement of a % of the transfer in his pocket.

Dimi seems a highly intelligent individual so may be wary of Aberdeen's recent instability and whilst a new manager is now there and likely to be better than the past managers, it could all go wrong again - that may be a consideration for him.

Time will tell...

Recent instability, along with players getting big moves every season though.

Not saying players don't get moves at Aberdeen, but commenting on the managerial instability of recent years.

Likely factor for all players when considering their future moves.

I thought that when Zander moved on, Sinclair was being touted as being ready to step up to the first team. Clearly he has had a serious injury but if we was on the brink before why are so many folk saying we should send him out on loan? Maybe he's not ready to start games yet, but surely he is good enough to keep around on match days.
