The players who have left aren’t world beaters but were the best of a bad bunch. If we can get a couple in before the cup games things will look better. Probably the correct time for Mcgowan to move on, would have maybe been phased out by younger players this season. A Perfectly serviceable player who gave 100% every time he played, His reaction to being told to find another club and then getting brought back into the team showed class. Phillips was the stand out outfield player over the last few seasons, but has massive holes in his game, passing, creating chances, scoring. Wins the ball then gives it away. If he had been at the club 5-6 years ago he would be moving to a club top end of the championship as the the players he was playing with would of hidden his weaknesses and played to his strengths, but will be surprised if he gets a move above league one, before inevitably returning to Scotland with st Mirren or Motherwell. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

We’ve been poor the last few seasons and lucky to still be playing in the top flight .
