AJF Posted July 11, 2023 Share Posted July 11, 2023 Some whispers that we are looking to bring Balogun back on a 1 year deal as cover at centre back. As much as I love the big guy, I think we should be looking forward and not back. I appreciate the view where people are pointing out we can’t get into a situation where we head into a Champions League campaign like we did last year with King and Sands as our centre backs. And we do need cover particularly with Goldson looking like he will miss the start of the season and Souttar’s injury concerns. I thought we made a mistake letting him go when we did but he is a couple of years older now and managed only a handful of games last season. It’s been simply ridiculous. Goes back to the beginning of last season, even before then for some.
