Sortmeout
I reckon most Rangers fans will be glad to see the back of Cantwell. He’s another in a long list of players who come, start off ok and everyone thinks they are amazing and then gradually they realise that they are just an average (maybe slightly above in Cantwells case) SPFL Prem player. I know McInnes (and the majority) would disagree with me but I would rather have Liam Polworth in my squad than Cantwell.
AJF
Not entirely surprising if that is legit. There has always been a feeling that Clement doesn’t fully trust Cantwell. Would be sad to see him go though as he is undoubtedly pretty talented.
alta-pete
Sorry. Put me in the unconvinced pile. Money for him is phree munny.
Sortmeout
Maybe it’s just because of his style and how he is on and off the park but Cantwell seems to be kind of guy who is more interested in Todd Cantwell than the overall team.

I don't think you are far wrong there.

I think he’s one of those guys that’s actually a very, very talented footballer but is more interested in the fame and money that comes with it than putting in the hard work and graft to become an even better player. I’d expect his online spat with the fan recently, whether merited or not, was probably the last straw for Clement.
AJF
Maybe @RandomGuy.can shed more light on it with his stats, but I feel like Cantwell generally works quite hard during matches in terms of sprints and defensive actions. The big issues come in games against Celtic, IMO, when we seem to get our press all wrong. When our forward (Dessers) triggers it, I think we are too slack to press as a team and Cantwell gets left in no-man’s land more often than not seeing the game pass him by.

Opta have him at 0.6 "high recoveries" per90, which is about as close to "pressures" as I can get tbh. Tom Lawrence the only central Rangers player higher but a fair few Celtic ones like O'Riley are higher.

Widge
Is there was asbestos in that stand Rangers would be under law required to have a register that knows about it and detail how it’s managed. There’s no chance it’s asbestos, RAAC I could totally understand given it’s a fucking concrete build structure! Either way the whole thing is super funny from the outside looking in.

Mike Ashley has refused the planning permission (didn’t know he worked for GCC or whoever deals with these things) because he actually owns 50% of Ibrox which includes the stand they are working on.

camer0n_mcd
Please excuse my ignorance for a minute, what is it they are actually doing to the stand? I've not really kept up to date with it.
