McSpreader
Does anyone like to buy art of any sort ? I just picked up a limited edition print by Amanda Murray from a pub near Newton Stewart that sells the pictures on its walls that are by local artists. http://www.creativewhithorn.co.uk/latest-artist-at-the-whithorn-story/ I've also bought a couple by Borders' artist Lesley McClaren . http://www.scottishartpaintings.co.uk/artist-lesley-mclaren.asp Can anyone else recommend an artist ? Cardinal Richelieu
Don't mind an Escher it has to be said. His exhibition in Edinburgh was braw, and they even had an Escher maze in the garden for the kids (and me).

tamthebam
I've got a Dominika Mayovich - graduate of the Glasgow School of Art Now,if she gets a major exhibition followed shortly after by a fatal car crash I'll be quids in.. I also like Chris Riddell - the current Children's Laureate, he seems quite a prolific illustrator so perhaps it wouldn't be too expensive to get one of his drawings. and this bit of graffiti on a wall in Polmadie which might be a bit tricky to obtain.... Thundermonkey
Last 2 days of Forth Valley Art Beat this weekend. There's open studios all over the central belt and a small showcase of local artists in the Howgate in Falkirk if you want something cheaper. Sorry not the old woman the picture within her picture is the picture that was left in my house that I like. Didn't think I'd need to explain that to be honest Tam, of course I wasn't left Whistlers Mother.
