HT 0-1

A half of two quarters. The first quarter was absolutely terrible from ourselves. Morton scored once and missed two sitters and were utterly dominant. Lucky to get out of it only one down.

Second quarter we improved a bit and got some of the ball. Created a couple of half chances... Notably Clarkson's blazed effort just on half time after some neat link up.

We need to improve hugely second half if we are going to avoid defeat.

We are desperately needing Quinn back, that midfield is hideous. Hutton is basically Carswell all over again, except without the occasional tackle. Morton should be more than one ahead.

Agreed. Think it's very important that if there are any other funds to be made available then we use them to sign another centre mid. Hutton doesn't look up to the task for me so far.

FT 1-1

They just can't do it can they

In prime position today, got the goal, dominating the game. Then they shat it, retreated deeper and deeper and in the end we were well worth a draw.

To be fair to Morton the game changed on one decision. At 0-1, Jack Baird on a booking, tugs down Quitongo who had turned him and was through on goal. As clear a yellow card as you'll see all day, and that would have been him off the park. Just a free kick. Ooft.

Really feel for the Ton fans. As the old song goes:

' I'd rather shag a bucket with a big whole in it, than be a Morton fan for just one minute '

Paisley poetry at its finest, and so apt. You guys must be raging.

Overall we played poorly. Centre mid is an issue for us, we miss a real ball winner in there.
Johnny Sutton poached the goal and he will poach many more for us I'm sure. Keep him fit he will score 15-20 this season. He must start next week and every week when available.

These decisions will always go in favour of the bigger, more successful clubs.
