As suspected, these 3 'promised' us the earth and not one of them are in any sort of position to help us out now. I can't forget Cameron's U-Turn the morning after the Indyref, it was almost as quick as Farage's. Has the Scotland Bill even went through yet?

You just agreed with a troll.

The tories have done nothing to fix the economy. We are further in debt than we were when they took over.

Cameron will be remembered as a pig fucking posh twat who did f**k all for anyone apart from his big business mates, just like his predecessors

The economy was on the mend until this morning. The deficit was coming down. Yes we still have debt and it was still going up but the amount we were borrowing was coming down each year. You have to fix the deficit before you can start repaying the debt. He inherited such a huge deficit it was always going to take years to fix.

Fucked now though. Deficit will start to rise again as investment tails off, unless taxes go up.

No it wasn't.

This "recovery" is built on a house price bubble and consumer debt - sound familiar?

Interesting. Less than 2 years later the 3 of them have all been forced out of their respective positions. The Vow was a death warrant.

Anyone who thinks that historians will look kindly upon a chump who only promised a referendum because he didn't for one second believe that he'd win a majority for it, then Dundeed that referendum's outcome and forced to resign within 18 months really hasn't paid attention to many works of history.

He'll go down as one of the most gormless and incompetent PMs in the political history of the United Kingdom: and one of the last of that state.

Cameron has done a lot of good during his time as PM. He successfully led a coalition government when everyone said it would collapse. Against all odds, he then increased his majority and won a Tory majority for the first time since 1992. He successfully defended Scotland's place in the UK and he was a champion of same-sex marriage, defying many of his party.

If this referendum had a swing of about 2%, he'd have kept us in the EU and - I reckon - would go down as a fairly successful PM in modern history when he stepped down of his own choosing.

Unfortunately for him, this was one gamble too far. This is also all he'll be remembered by.

I don't know if you're stupid and myopic because you're a Tory or a Tory because you are stupid and myopic.

Probably doesn't matter as the outcome is the same.

There was a blog post I saw that said that David Cameron has shown the poltiical nous of Cersei Lannister.

He didn't need to call for this referendum, he did it to appease his backbenchers.  He assumed that he'd be able to 'long-grass' it but following his unexpected victory his hand was forced.  Then he thought he could win the campaign but he couldn't.

He took a short-term party political gamble and it could end up leading to the break-up of the United Kingdom on two fronts, a recession and the end of the EU as we know it.  An absolute disaster.

Think he also added the EU ref to stop tory votes leaking to ukip. Noone expected that it would be labour votes that leaked to ukip

All true, but the fear of his successor is high.

Gove, may, Johnston, Osbourne all significantly out c**t Cameron, and that's some challenge.
