Sensing a lot of jealousy about our spending power. Not our fault your clubs are fucking shite and can't afford decent players, m8's.

We are by a distance the biggest club in the league with the most resources. We would be stupid not to spend them. As you say m9, not our fault that we are rolling in it.

True, but with your squad and spending you should be miles ahead of anyone else in this league....just cause your the biggest club doesn't mean your the best

Last season the **** had the most resources and money to spend. At this period of last season we'd just caught them up after trailing at the start by a similar points margin to what you lot have just made up on us this season. They still walked the league. Let's just see what happens come the end of the season.

For what it's worth im not confident we'll win it as Lennon seems to be pretty incompetent. Hopefully our piles of cash help buy our way to the title instead.

Fair Enough, It wouldn't be a disaster if we didn't go up this season but you lads really need too. We just needed to rebuild the club again this season, get all the shit out the club and start again.

Really depends who we can bring in up front in January to push on and stay up with you lot

Serious question.  What determines an 'emergency loan'?

Emergency loans: these loans are only available to clubs in the Championship, League 1 and League 2 not to Premiership clubs and are for a minimum period of 28 days and maximum period of 93 days. The same restrictions as outlined in Standard loans apply. Furthermore no club can bring in any player after 31 March except in emergency circumstances and any such registration requires the specific approval of the SPFL Board.

But what qualifies a team to be able to sign an emergency loan? Kris Commons is a good player, I didn't know he was still at Celtic. Christie and a return of Henderson would be great but it really is a waste that Celtic have such a wealth of talent that are unable to get a regular start.

I think it is more focused on the length of loan. All other rules apply and it can be extended in the January windows as long as the player has only played for one (or no) club this season.

@HibeeJibee will hopefully clarify matters.

There aren't any special criteria around it at all other than those specified in the quoted rule (domestic only; not incoming for Premiership clubs; between 1 month - 3 month duration).

It's basically a loophole in FIFA transfer window regulations. In practice they've not got anything to do with "emergencies" at all. Indeed as you can see Scotland's rule about "emergency" loans actually has an exemption for 'emergencies' :lol:.

It is really an abuse of its intended purpose - genuine emergencies like squad illness or all keepers being injured - and I read somewhere we must conform to FIFA practice sometime soon. I think they've been more common in SPFL1 & SPFL2... Berwick's used them for several seasons either side of Christmas to bring in loans/Premiership U20s/etc.

And yet, second in the pub league at the half way stage.
