He'll be earning an absolute fortune over there, fair play to him. Smartest move he could've made, considering Dortmunds record of signing players who perform at that level of club.

Ambitious club by the looks of it. Also looks like a place he'll be going to play rather than to sit in the reserves. £13m as well - Scotland's most expensive ever player?

Wonder if the doubters who were quick to shoot us down, when we said the kid is going places.  Well he's off the Germany now lol.

Fingers crossed he gets a game in Germany. It feels weird being a bit excited about a Scottish player.

I'm buzzing for the laddie, he's going to a league that will undoubtedly improve the technical side of his game far more than a mid table championship basket case like Forest.

Out of interest without looking, is this the largest fee every paid for a Scottish player ?

Without question.

The Gretna of Germania?

Well, sort of, except they come from a big city and have a potentially massive support, making their existence sustainable.

This is a totally random transfer. Fair play to him, hope he's a success.

Pretty sure the Top five Scottish transfers now sits like...

  1. Oliver Burke - Nottingham Forest to RB Leipzig - £13m
  2. Ross McCormack - Fulham to Aston Villa - £12m
  3. Matt Ritchie - Bournemouth to Newcastle - £12m
  4. Steven Fletcher - Wolves to Sunderland - £12m
  5. Ross McCormack - Leeds to Fulham - £11m

Yep, the Gretna comparison is unfair based on what Nightmare says above.  They were a pub team playing in a village who had to play their top flight home games 70 miles away.  An unsustainable joke of a club.

An interesting move for the boy.  German teams seem to give young talent game time if they're good enough, so I expect him to play some part for them this season.
