Lewis and Mallan have been playing first team football now for 2/3 seasons. Their development is due to playing competitive football every week from a young age (just like McGinn and McLean). We had another outstanding talent in McAllister who chose the money from Forest and has never been heard of again. I am sure his development would have been meteoric if he had stayed and played every week. Hopefully more Scottish clubs will fill their team with young guys and give them a chance to show what they can do and hopefully more young players will choose to stay and not accept the cheque. It was Derby County. Agree with the point, at 18 he should be learning his trade at St Mirren. It would have benefitted all parties had Derby loaned him back to you.

Thomas made a couple of poor decisions in the first half which conceded possession, but he learned from those in the second period and he was much tidier. His technical ability was very good too. Lewis Morgan will be an absolute star. He has bags of pace and trickery as well as being deceptively very strong. I could go through the whole team and offer praise. Ian Wilson, Greg Taylor, and the two CBs McKenna and Souttar looked like they'd played together for years. This is a very good U21 team and they haven't really played together that much. There is better to come. Did Wilson play RB? -
paul-r-cfc
Did Wilson play RB? Left back. Ralston was right back
velo army
No, Taylor played LB, with Ralston to the right. Wilson played more of a holding role in midfield. Highly effective and very calm on the ball.
Tulloch Gorum
Defensively speaking, those were two very poor goals for the Dutch to lose. For the first, Burke was allowed all the space he could ask for in the box, for the second their defender practically served it up on a plate with chips. I'm only going off the highlights, but that looked like a very dominant performance from Scotland.

Looks like Mallan has a season of reserve football ahead of him. Not played in 6 of Barnsley's games so far. Let's hope he doesn't stall or regress.

Bit harsh calling out the 15 Mil tbh. He can't be MoM every game. I genuinely believe his presence and confidence gives the u21s a lift

dogmc
Burke was arguably our best player in Toulon tournament in amongst other lads trying to blooter the ball into orbit.
Jim McLean's Ghost
Burke was fine and he was playing out of position as the striker or highest midfielder in a 4-6-0. Not that it was negative we just played a really high pressing game with Cadden and Morgan putting in a power of work on both flanks to deny the Dutch easy possession. With Wilson sitting in front of the defence the other 5 midfielders had licence to go all over the park. It will be interesting to see if the team continues to play without a recognised striker.
Gordopolis
Left out of today's West Bromwich squad. Because he's finished, not because he's got an injury.

Think he could be a regular starter at someone like RB Leipzig.
