Brexit slowly becoming a Farce.

This could end up with the SNP letting Johnson off the hook and facilitating a Tory majority government.
Not a clever move.
Sooner or later though, England will return a majority tory govt. Its what they do. All very well the SNP getting involved whilst its Brexit at stake but ultimately they need to get back to representing the interests of Scotland which is currently, and will be moreso after a GE, pushing for an independence referendum. Its not their job to hold back Englands tide of turkeys desperate to vote for Christmas.

My thoughts entirely.... at 40 years range Labour still tries to stick the blame for Thatcher's election on the SNP, so why the f**k are they even involving themselves in this stuff ?

Labour have let the Tories off the hook for the last 2 years now.  Their bumbling and ineptitude have made a Tory majority far more likely.

In fact, the most realistic hope of their not being a Tory majority is if the Brexit Party eat into their vote.

I don't see any reason at all why the SNP and/or LibDems should dance to Labour's tune, or even be associated with Corbyn in any shape or form.

The timing's good for near wiping out the Tories and Labour in Scotland, and it wouldn't be the end of the world for Independence if Westminster remains an utter clusterfuck of lemmings after the election.

It's a hard one to judge to be honest. Absolute f*ck all is happening with anything, and that is not good for the long term. Making something, anything happen here has to happen at some point. Sitting back and doing nothing isn't going to work for anyone.

The danger of forcing an election and enabling a Conservative majority versus the danger of doing nothing and still enabling a Conservative majority is pretty much what everyone is juggling with.

It’s nothing to do with dancing to Labour’s tune, it’s to do with protecting the people they represent.

I dare say the SNP have considered that, and worked out that the best way to protect the people they represent is by increasing the number of SNP MP's, putting on pressure for a 2nd  referendum, and gaining independence.

Basically England want their Brexit, if they vote in the tories on mass then let them go. SNP should start full on Indy campaign and get the ball rolling with having it before end of brexit agreements are finished. Also they need to promise a Scots ref on re-entering EU to put that to bed. The sooner they start the sooner the go to court to sort out this section 30 pish.

Wild that a new GE resulting in a Tory majority would be the fault of the SNP, and not Labour for being a totally ineffectual opposition led by an utterly fucking wet blanket.
The fact that the SNP and Lib Dems enabled it when Johnson was on the ropes and could do nothing about it will be what sticks in the throat.

If only it were that easy.

The Tories will refuse IndyRef2 and I’ve not seen a credible plan for when that happens.

I’ve seen lots of people saying “but they have to respect the views of the Scottish electorate”.

Sadly they don’t and they won’t.

Yeah this. They have played a big role in Brexit but its getting towards time to extricate themselves from this mess and change the narrative to how us and Emgland have diverged so far at such a basic constitutional level.

It will never be anyones fault except the voters of England that we get Tory rule.

The only option left for Remainers is to go for a quick election and hope for a Parliament that opposes Brexit. The 'clever' strategy in September of rejecting an election and watching Johnson self-destruct didn't work, especially for Labour; the government has dominated discourse for a month, as they do outside election time, and Johnson got a deal. If this Parliament goes on, there is no majority for a second referendum and eventually Johnson's Brexit passes narrowly (with pro-deal Labour MPs conceding on the future relationship to 'get it done' before an election). Johnson then uses that momentum to win a majority with the negative effects of his deal not yet being felt and Remainers would be both demoralised and furious at Labour for not doing more to stop it happening. There are definitely risks to an election, sure, but I don't see any feasible better option.

Shit gets real when it might affect your ability to get pre wrapped pigs in blankets.

Pigs in blankets and other festive meal treats might be in short supply this Christmas, the British Meat Processors Association has warned.

It says 60% of the labour force in UK meat plants comes from other countries and the industry is not attracting enough seasonal EU workers.

Its chief executive, Nick Allen, told the BBC that wrapping cocktail sausages in bacon was done by hand.

He said the job was "fiddly and hard to mechanise".

At the same time, the British Poultry Council warned that "finding sufficient labour is becoming a massive challenge for the poultry meat sector as the uncertainty around Brexit is prompting many of our workers to seek jobs in other countries".

It said that if the shortage of workers continued post-Brexit, it would "pose a risk to the affordability of British food".

A Christmassy version of strawberries and raspberries rotting on the plant because good hard working Brits won't pick them for three pounds an hour.

This. The longer it goes on without a conclusion the more real the risk of crashing out without a deal. Eventually the French will get their way and block an extension.

Do you think the French want to see us leave without a deal?
