Trending like f'ck, penny drops for Brexit party MEP - although her boss never bothered going to the meetings anyway:

The MEP  doesn't realise the irony of her statement - although tbf  she maybe means there is a problem during the 11 month transition period. Big deal. But as for the remainiacs worshipping at the feet of the EU with tweets like "there is no sovereignty without power". Sssssake. Go tell that to little Iceland

Look at all those countries that we don't have trade deals with.

Is Italy(on our tails in the league and in better form) not always highlighted as one of the basket cases in Europe. Do we become the basket cases if they leapfrog us into 7th

It's ok,Boris has deals with Vanuatu and Micronesia ready to be signed at 11.01pm on Jan 31st.

I assume those places are just outside the top 20 global economies.

They've got a fair bit of catching up to do to overtake us. Not impossible though. Depending who's right on the impact of Brexit. The doom mongers or the optimists.

Everyone's favourite pub landlord has another statement in his company's update today.

Quote

Brexit

Commenting on Brexit, Tim Martin, said:

"It is disappointing to note that pro-remain organisations like the CBI and the Food and Drink Federation are, even at this late stage, doubling down on 'project fear' stories.

"A dramatic headline on the BBC's main news website ("Brexit: Price rises warning after chancellor vows EU rules divergence", 18 January) predicted dire consequences in the event of 'divergence' from the EU.

"The article contained a jobs warning from the CBI, which previously promoted the disastrous exchange rate mechanism and the euro, and a food prices warning from the Food and Drink Federation (FDF).

"The CBI's warnings about job losses and recession in the event of a leave vote in 2016 have proved to be mythical - over a million jobs have been created.

"The FDF's warnings about food price rises are absurd- the EU is a highly protectionist organisation which imposes tariffs and quotas on about 13,000 non-EU imports including many food and drink products such as bananas, rice, oranges, coffee and wine.

"Elimination of tariffs will obviously reduce prices.

"It is high time these organisations took a wise-up pill and supported the democratic decisions of the UK."

If so it will get him focused on climate change.  Don't want to lose your newest trading partners to rising sea levels.

More wasteful expenditure by the UK government.
Get ready for Brexit campaign cost 46m.
Did it ever reach Scotland. I hadn't heard about it until now.

Not sure how you missed it tbh? There were billboards up everywhere, it was on the TV during ad breaks if you still watch traditional telly, there were adverts in all thr national and regional papers, I'm sure there were some on local radio. I'm not a big TV watcher, Radio listener or newspaper reader but still saw plenty. I mean it was shite, sure "Things might change - please check" with no additional guidance or help whatsoever but it was pretty visible.

From twitter user "SomeTimesImFunny"

Few things wrong here:
1) it’s “British food” not “Brittish food”
2) it’s “The Beatles” not “Beetles”
3) Kylie Minogue is Australian.

But thanks for strengthening the belief that you people are fucking morons.
