Guest Jedi Posted December 12, 2018 Share Posted December 12, 2018 She still has the chance to run the clock down on a 2nd Ref now though...wait another 6 weeks for the 'meaningful' vote where she presents 'her' deal or no deal as the only options on the table in the timescale before March and she might get enough on board to pull her deal through reluctantly. By then there wouldn't realistically be enough time to hold a 2nd Ref without an extension of Article 50 which at the moment the Tories and DUP are against. She will ramble on about 'assurances' from the EU that they will do everything to avoid the backstop..and she might as said have the numbers for her shabby deal. Meanwhile, Corbyn will be still be dithering over a vote of no confidence (which he can't get passed anyway, as again the Tories and DUP will block it). A majority will try to block a no deal, so the only other option is some version of her deal at the moment.
