Joey Barton....Get the popcorn, the fun & games have just begun.

What the Rangers should do now that poor Joey is off sick with stress is support him. Maybe arrange for him to see whoever the Rangers use as occupational health to have a chat and maybe arrange further stress counselling. He should be allowed to have as long off as needed and come back to work on phased return basis, maybe a day per week for the 1st month then increase that slowly over a number of months to make sure that he is integrated back into the team in the least stressful manner.

That's what an ethical employer would do.

There's no way that he's leaving for just 8 weeks' pay.

Would still be pretty funny if they had to give another £144,000 assuming its £18k p/w, not including bartons wages and signing on fees to date, to barton for absofuckinglutely no return.

Not to mention kranjcar being fucked with injury on high pay.

Absolutely vile treatment of a player. Completely freeze him out for months until he's no choice but to agree to leave simply for no real reason.

 just when you think there's not much else to laugh at Sevco for. What a laugh it'd be if Barton tried to sue them.

The gift that keeps on giving.

Or if they tried to sign him up to a confidentiality clause on the cheap.

I remember last week when the statement said Barton would be back at work.  There was speculation on the Radio that he'd knuckle down and swallow his pride to train hard, even if sent away to work with the youngsters.

How many days did he do, before playing the stress card?  He just wants paid, while not needing to do anything.  A further play by him to make Rangers really want rid.

They and Barton totally deserve one another.
