Big Fifer
This starting to get silly. Why would the president of the country covertly record conversations with the head of the FBI and then threaten him publicly with it? This guys an absolute lunatic. Paco
He's actually dug himself a hole now that may very well end up with a special investigator, whether it's merited or whether there's anything to find or not. What an absolute balloon.
harry94
It's starting to look like Trump is really worried about something coming. That's an utterly mental tweet. Even if he is completely innocent in this whole affair, he's done repairable damage in his handling of this.
NotThePars
Who are the people with verified ticks that reply threads to every Donald Trump tweet? Is that their full time vocation. Some of them have images and all that up within minutes of anything he tweets.

Also, was Comey not pretty well liked within the Bureau ? Might be some nice juicy leaks heading the media's way. Wikileaks have been trying to get Comey on board cause they imagine he has some secrets to spill
welshbairn
I don't think Trump's totally evil. Greedy with a history of stiffing contractors and investors Sevco style, narcissistic to the nth degree overcoming all other priorities, but I think he honestly wants to avoid killing lots of people for the hell of it. He's totally out of his depth though, can't be long before he realises it and finds an excuse to stand down. He'll probably drag out that quack who said he was the healthiest man who has ever lived.
DeeTillEhDeh
Utterly bizarre that the person who is at the heart of an investigation can decide to sack the investigator. Something really stinks.

Something really stinks. The fabled checks and balances all depend on the President following the accepted norms and traditions of reasonable behaviour. Trump doesn't even know what they are, in his business career he stole first then said "see me in court", knowing he could outspend his opponents. Our unwritten constitution could also be severely threatened if Charlie gets a bee in his bonnet, or May went even more loopy. The powers given to the President weren't anticipated to be given to someone like Trump. Edited May 12, 2017 by welshbairn

The information the president relayed had been provided by a U.S. partner through an intelligence-sharing arrangement considered so sensitive that details have been withheld from allies and tightly restricted even within the U.S. government, officials said. The partner had not given the United States permission to share the material with Russia, and officials said Trump’s decision to do so endangers cooperation from an ally that has access to the inner workings of the Islamic State. After Trump’s meeting, senior White House officials took steps to contain the damage, placing calls to the CIA and the National Security Agency. “This is code-word information,” said a U.S. official familiar with the matter, using terminology that refers to one of the highest classification levels used by American spy agencies. Trump “revealed more information to the Russian ambassador than we have shared with our own allies.”
harry94
He was apparently boasting about how great his Intel was and gave it away when trying to impress. It's technically legal as a sitting president to share classified information as you have that power to overrule but it is threatening for him in regards to his image. If more than half of the cabinet are persuaded, they can declare him mentally unfit for the rest of the term and have Pence fill in as acting president.

harry94
In a 24-hour period, Trump and his team- Fired the man overseeing the FBI investigation into collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.- Met with two senior russian envoys in the oval office at the request of Vladimir Putin.- Barred domestic press from the meeting.- Ordered official WH photog to not take photos of Kislyak with Trump.- Spilled highly sensitive intelligence provided by a foreign ally to the Russian envoy.- Had the entire conversation transcribed (from "tapes"?) and distributed amongst a small circle of recipients.

Some poor b*****d is probably getting set on fire right now because of his ego. Never mind he's doing this with the fucking russians. It's way too much to hope that this might spell the end or the beginning of the end but, fucking hell, maybe here's some hope. This is a colossal, real world f**k up. "international intelligence community in a state of "Deep, deep deep, alarm."

There's so much sketchy stuff in his life and so many different ways to hang him and then he's pissed off and panicked intelligence staff and even went as far as appointing an agent of the Russian state as Defence Secretary. To top that off, he seems mentally unstable and showing symptoms of dementia and personality disorders.I don't know when or how but I get the feeling we'll wake up one day and he'll be gone. It's insane how much there is stacked against him and something will collapse eventually. Health is the likely excuse if he wants it to be dignified but that's probably too rational.

Paco
Certainly don't wish to defend Trump but I'm not sure anyone should just outright be taking the word of 'sources' as gospel. It's perfectly believable, of course, but it doesn't automatically make it true...
