Inanimate Carbon Rod
I ordered oysters once in Georgia. They arrived baked with processed cheese on top.Yeh they just don’t do fine dining. If you look at the trip advisor best restaurants in many US cities its horrible chain places, even the ‘fancy’ places are chains. New York and Washington have decent enough food scenes but besides bbq in texas and san fran/la the entire country is a food cultural vacuum.

The 30lbs I've put on since I've moved to Chicago would like a word with you. Although a fair whack of it is likely beer.

I thought deep pan pizza was American. Italian pizza has a thin base. Scots can claim the deep fried battered pizza. (I know the do deep fried pizza in Naples as well but I don't think they go as far as to batter it.) Granny Danger
It looks like the State of the Union address is off or at least delayed. Apparently it requires the Speaker of the House to invite the President to give it and that’s not happening!

[emoji38]As any West Wing fan will tell you, the Speaker has to send an invitation to the President - I'm sure it'll be normally sent by a clerk or something, so presumably they won't be working?

Granny Danger
Rudy Giuliani says Trump didn't collude with Russia but can't say if campaign aides did https://edition-m.cnn.com/2019/01/16/politics/rudy-giuliani-cnntv/index.html?r=https%3A%2F%2Fedition.cnn.com%2F He’s also claiming that neither he nor Trump has ever claimed that there has been no collusion between the campaign and Russia! I can only assume there are more revelations in the offing to add to the most recent Manafort one.

Detournement
Everyone moans about Russian bots then when it comes out Trump was using American bots they still complain! The two best bits of the story are that the company set up fake twitter profiles of woman who fancy Cohen and that Cohen billed Trump $50,000 and it only cost $20,000! Quote Dear Madame Speaker: Due to the Shutdown, I am sorry to inform you that your trip to Brussels, Egypt, and Afghanistan has been postponed. We will reschedule this seven-day excursion when the Shutdown is over. In light of the 800,000 great American workers not receiving pay, I am sure you would agree that postponing this public relations event is totally appropriate. I also feel that, during this period, it would be better if you were in Washington negotiating with me and joining the Strong Border Security movement to end the Shutdown. Obviously, if you would like to make your journey by flying commercial, that would certainly be your prerogative. I look forward to seeing you soon and even more forward to watching our open and dangerous Southern Border finally receive the attention, funding, and security it so desperately deserves! Sincerely, Donald Trump
