Trump's paying a visit to the Alamo today. I wouldn't put it past him to lock himself in and declare it the Real White House, continuity base. :saddam

The Alamo? Probably going to say that the US won that battle biggly, just like he won the election, and that Mexicans most definitely didn't storm the walls.

It’s the city of Alamo, which is a tiny dust bowl near the border, rather than the Alamo, which is in San Antonio. Dude don’t have the cojones to be within 100 miles of Gregg Popovich.

I had breakfast in San Antonio bus station before catching the next Greyhound leg from New York to Laredo. Think I had time for a quick look at the Alamo from the outside, didn't go in.

Skip the Alamo and head to the riverwalk if you are there again 😉

Maybe it is Alamo Car Rental.  If he gets impeached and loses all the privileges of being an ex-president than at least he still be allowed to drive.

I might do, planning a trip to see a Space X Starship launch near Brownsville when they get more reliable time wise and have the full orbital one ready, so might change flights there.

You should’ve; it’s tiny, only takes 10-15 minutes.

It was decades ago and I think about 6 am so it wouldn't have been open. I'll always have the Peter Ustinov film to remember its true meaning anyway.

I don't remember it because of Peter Ustinov.

I'd have been more surprised if he wasn't there TBH. He's been a far-right fruitcake since before the World Wide Web.

Can't see the point of putting him through the impeachment process again, when that doesn't necessarily force him out of office.

My thinking is that even though they know impeachment will fail because the GOP will not support it, what it will do is make it a matter of public record who voted against the impeachment. Maybe they think it will be good ammunition for the future.

When Moscow Mitch no longer controls the senate, they'll be able to call witnesses, under oath.  It could be embarrasing.

That's it. Just to have a trail of witnesses one by one saying exactly what he was doing on January 6th. He needs humiliating more than anything else, the banks calling in his loans will take care of the punishment.
