Granny Danger
Hear House Speaker's past comments blaming the fall of the Roman Empire on homosexuality. “Bloody poofs, coming over here and dismantling our Empire!” (Apologies to Stewart Lee) Cut to 3.25 if you want.

A full two-thirds, 67%, of all likely Republican primary voters in South Carolina said Trump’s efforts to overturn the election, if true, are not relevant to his fitness for the presidency. The figure pops up to 92% of the voters who currently back Trump. They're absolutely not fascists, though. Nuh-uh. Americans have become very, very confused about what democracy is, and our mob of politicians are doing their damndest to encourage the same kind of brain rot here too.
carpetmonster
Outside the courthouse after Eric Trump testified, Trump's lawyer Alina Habba went on a wild rant knowing her boss was watching. Perhaps the most comical moment was when she complained about Eric Trump and Donald Trump, Jr. having to testify: "These children were brought in away from their families for doing nothing wrong."

That... and wasn't there something about upper class folk becoming less intelligent because they used lead for water supply pipes and drinking cups? Sure I heard that when I was young. The introduction of a new religion and a dumbed down ruling class... Hardly a recipe for success.
TxRover
Judge Cannon, Trump’s pet Federal Judge in Florida, has spent the last month plus issuing paperless orders that seem slanted toward delaying the Florida trial without issuing formal orders that Smith’s team could appeal. It’s suggested that Cannon wants to keep the Florida trial date in May, to prevent Georgia from sliding their case into that window once she delays the start. As it stands, several deadlines have been suspended pending formal orders, but now extending over weeks, where a couple of things Trump’s team wanted were issued nearly immediately. Judge Cannon is going to be roasted by the Circuit once these things go formal, watch for fireworks.

TxRover
Showtime…Donald is scheduled to testify Monday in the New York fraud trial…not being televised, but clips will be shown after his testimony AND he will certainly be covered live outside the Courtroom after his testimony ends. Fair chance he violates his New York gag order at that time…and perhaps adds more evidence to the argument for the Washington Federal gag order.
Granny Danger
Trump’s testimony in NY going well. Answering all the questions briefly and truthfully. The judge has called him the perfect witness.

TxRover
I love the judge asking Donald’s attorney to keep him on topic, or he would dismiss him and draw all possible negative inferences.

This despite record job creation. The economy is important but the biggest issue with voters is Biden’s age. Why should anyone trust a man on the economy, foreign policy, domestic policy, etc. who is already showing signs of cognitive decline with the election still a year away and a second term that would keep him in the White House until January 2029. Biden’s ego might well hand the election to Trump.

Biden’s ego might well hand the election to Trump. Not even his age, as he's not much older than Trump. I'd imagine most Americans simply baulk at the prospect of a guy whose mental acuity is somewhat shy of Mr Magoo getting another spell in The White House. And it shouldn't come down to Biden's ego. The men in grey sneakers of the Democratic Party need to grow a pair and steer the bus away from the political abyss - and quickly.
