Longer term it's only a matter of time until Texas flips due to the ongoing growth of the Latino demographic and when it does the Republicans will have to moderate their politics in a big way to have any hope of ever winning again, so Trump is probably the end of the line for a campaign revolving around the crankier portions of the white non-college degree demographic. GordonS
Glenn Greenwald is like Clare Fox. Just controversialists whose opinions shift all over the place because they're not rooted in values or knowledge, they're just worn and discarded like fashions. They're trend-setters rather than trend-followers, going against whatever is mainstream-y at the time. You get loads of folk like that, bouncing all over the place. I don't understand why they're taken seriously.
JamieThomas
Greenwald, Weiss etc call themselves journalists when literally all they are is (extremely) highly paid shitposters with god complexes. Obviously I'm more than happy to taking no salary for that gig.

I don't buy him changing from being fanatically anti immigrant and Castro etc when he was 38 to being a right on progressive apart from flirtations with the libertarian right when he's 53. He's a regular on Fox News and defends Trump because at heart he's a true believer.

He interviewed Lula in jail and Evo Morales after the coup. If he's not a journalist who do you think is? He worked with the Intercept Brazil as an executive editor and he and his Brazilian socialist MP husband are under 24 hour guard because of fascist death threats. Unless Twitter has broken your brain that majorly outweighs going on Fox occasionally because they are the only network that will have him on. Sent a tweet at 02.57 US time to say that if Biden wins the election and the Supreme Court allows it then it's their fault that the country will apparently be in ruins. How has he not had that phone removed? Tweeting at that time of the morning with another blame game really isn't a good look. Quite a few of the comments back are pointing out that calling his opponent 'sleepy' at 3am isn't really an insult Are Trump's tweets checked before they are sent? His grammar seems to have improved slightly in recent times.

Why did two political giants in Lula and Evo chose to be interviewed by him? The absolute no marks calling him right wing should consider if they truly believe they know better than Lula and Evo.

He's not a real journalist because he has absolutely no interest in explaining the world to others and allowing us to draw our own conclusions. He tells you what to think. He's a political activist. He used to work as a journalist but that was a long time ago. 4 minutes ago, Detournement said: And why do you think they choose they Greenwald rather than anyone? Snowden went to Greenwald because he wrote for the Guardian about state abuses of power at that time. For t least a month Greenwald ignored Snowden, who then went to Laura Poitras instead, frustrated at Greenwald, and she pulled Greenwald in. Greenwald ignored Snowden because he said he found the encryption measures requested by Snowden to be "too annoying". Snowden was unimpressed that Greenwald was writing about state snooping yet expected to communicate by unencrypted email. Never meet your heroes.
