Nice to see Jeepers Creepers' director is still getting work after his conviction for molesting (and producing pornography featuring) the 12-year-old star of one of his films

The OP
I thought that Inglourious Basterds was pretty awful after the barroom shootout but tbf the earlier scenes featuring Brad Pitt were quite shit too. Speaking of recent Tarantinos Django Unchained had a pretty shit ending as well, and The Hateful Eight went downhill after lots of people were poisoned. 8MileBU
Jeepers Creepers. Went from being a genuinely interesting, compelling serial killer / psychopath film to a terrible monster film. It was shite from the moment the big moth wing first pops out. So a shite half of a film as opposed to an ending.

Mon Dieu
Time For Heroes Spoiler An excellent live-action film all done in one take; a slightly farfetched and unbelievable story given the subject matter with plenty of ups & downs along the way, but it cuts out right at the end when the forty-minute battle sequence is about to begin and goes straight to a musical number. It was like cutting out the forty-minute battle of Helm's Deep out of The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers, where the Uruk-*** get a pasting from the good guys in green. It wasn't due to Budgetary constraints as Budge was away producing a money-spinning two-part series for another company; the reason given by the producers was that it was to do with 'Sweet Fuck All' (whatever that means). All in all, an incredible film spoiled by the cut of the bloody battle sequence with a sing-song happy ending, presumably to avoid the '18' certificate. BFTD
Someone's going to mention Monty Python and the Holy Grail, so it might as well be me. It's a bummer on the first viewing, but it's grown on me over the years. The ending suits the anarchic feel of the film (and the production, going by the documentaries). Nobody was going to mention it! And f**k off again for being the c**t that mentioned it! That ending pretty much defines what Monty Python were all about! Brilliantly daft as f**k! The number of times I've seen Holy Grail mentioned in discussions and articles about the worst film endings... I was a bit crestfallen first time through, but I'm not sure what I was hoping would happen. They get the grail and head back to Castle Anthrax for a celebratory party? 8MileBU
Surprised nobody has mentioned this one yet... Signs What is for the most part, an enjoyable sci-fi movie, ends up being utterly steamrollered by the most ridiculous five minutes to ever end a movie, IMO. Aliens have have invaded Earth, it looks like the end of humanity is nigh..... Then it suddenly turns out all you need to do is 'a Gunther' and scoosh them with the hose as water is their weakness, not to mention they've decided to invade a planet made up of 71% water. Same here but it's grown on me no end over the years. I mean could it really have ended any other way than it transpiring they were a bunch of early cosplaying LARPers? Blazing Saddles is another one which really irked me at first but doesn't bother me now. Again, Mel Brooks = Crazy so it's OK.
djchapsticks
The Jeepers Creepers thing though. f**k yes. I remember the first time I watched it and going 'christ....this is creepy'. The bit down the well was genuinely disturbing and then the wings happened and he became Mothra and that was it for me.
Nkomo-A-Gogo
Kill list. Watched it twice now and still left confused and annoyed. Looked up reviews online and everyone says the same thing so it wasn't something I had missed. Just a very weird ending to a film that had me hooked. Would still recommend though. killienick
The worst ending, to any film ever, in the history of film is AI: Artificial Intelligence. The ending ruined what would have been a stone cold classic, and the most annoying thing was it already had a tremendous ending, 10 minutes before the awful one. David, the robot boy, had been searching for the Blue Fairy for the entire film in the hope that she might make him a real boy. Right at the end he's stuck, frozen in ice, reaching out to the Blue Fairy for all eternity - brilliant!, heart-breaking, poignant, all of the above.................except it's not the ending. Aliens turn up out of frickin nowhere and somehow are able to bring David's human mother back to life with, (most of), her memories intact, but only for one day. PISH. Wasn't it something to do with Spielberg tacking on the ending to Stanley Kubrick's originally intended one after he died?
