Ayr Utd vs Raith Rovers

Recommended Posts

That was horrible, we seem content to pass the ball round the back four all game, they sit deep to give the midfield someone to pass to so we barely create anything. Long balls weren't working so we launched them anyway, the only joy we had was when Forrest ran at the center halfs.

Raith looked like they knew they were beat, played long balls in to the corners for no one trying to kill the game, had players crowding the front of the 18 yard box to stop long range attempts, but as the game went on they must have realized we were there for the taking. We did look like we were trying to hang on at the end.

We probably had 4-5 shots on target tonight, a couple of decent saves and a couple straight at Stevenson.

BBC Scotland were saying St Mirren were lodging a complaint about a game they ween't involved in going ahead, for this I hope they go down, the shower of poke nose wanks

Given we were missing Adams, Murphy, Docherty, Boyle and McDaid from the starting XI through injury, had Cairney get a bad injury aaaaand McCall dropped Moore and Harkins, I'm quite delighted to take the three points tonight!

Yet again supporters think they can shout what they like at players but then spit the dummy oot when the players dare to give them some verbals back.

If you can't take it, don't bother giving it out. Simple enough, no?

Does this theory apply to the referee too?

Any word on Cairney?  Looked really nasty for him.   Amidst all the Stevo hoopla, it probably got lost that we were really down to the bare bones tonight.  Average age of the team must have been pretty low especially after Cairney went off.  Thought Wardrope did well and was surprised he got subbed so early.  McGuffie was a bit disappointing but he worked his socks off.  Fair play to Raith, they defended deep and kept the "keeper" well protected.

Still baffled as to why Raith ended up in this position.  Listening to Hughes on sport sound, it wasn't that they couldn't get a keeper, more they couldn't get one of an acceptable standard.

Well stop your moaning and away to your bed then

Away and have a nonce with your pal in the black jacket then, moaning about fans shouting abuse, but he's the worst of them and you think he's hilarious. Contradict yourself much.

Cairney looked really bad, fear the worst with that one. Couldn't even get himself on the stretcher without help.

There was definitely abuse getting dished out from the North Terracing, I've dished out abuse to those I felt deserved it in the past and been quite willing to go nose to nose if they felt offended, we were crap with virtually no midfield tonight, I don't think that was Devlins fault.

You're obviously going to defend your nonce buddy aren't you, maybe if he sees you defending him he'll let you be power bottom one night.

At half time he was hobbling about on crutches with a knee brace thing on. No idea how serious it is.

Hopefully it's weeks rather than months, wouldn't think it's too bad when he's on crutches rather heading up to A&E.
