Forfar Ath v Edinburgh City 11/03

Recommended Posts

Where to start eh?
That City performance in the first half was as poor as I've seen anyone play this season. Credit to them for hanging in and credit to the manager for appearing to make the correct changes at the right time.
The longer the game went, the easier that result was to predict. 4 great chances missed in that second half. 1v1 with Danny, 2 from Lister and 1 from Malone. Any of those went in and the game was over. Instead we started taking chances at the back (Malcs trying a Maradona turn in the box and the keeper thinking he was an outfielder too). The legs went from the centre of midfield leaving Danny having to cover everywhere. TOB is barely a centre midfielder this season, never mind right winger...wtf??

I feel like a broken record - why does GB persist in his attempts to shoehorn in his "strongest" 11 players when he has decent players who would give the rest of the team a more balanced look if they were on?

Need a few drinks tonight, that was disappointing.

Interesting line-up. Has he went 4-3-3? Wouldn't mind it if he has.

It was a terrible line up. Travis and TOB need to be centre of defense anything else is not our best. Playing TOB , Malone and Foxy all in the middle was an unmitigated disaster, no pace, no stamina and no support to the front two. Everyone could see what was happening except Bollan. Got what we deserved today, play offs bottle job (yet again) here we come!

What the f**k was he thinking ??? Surely a football manager can't commit such a crime . Malcolm is a joke and how deep we were in the second half was laughable .

O'Brien and Travis clean sheet at Gayfield and one against Elgin, haven't been central defence since utterly baffling. Fans on here arguing about Peters or Lister when both are liabilities and Hay bangs them in for Montrose. Truly head shaking stuff, sense another horror show finish to a season incoming.

Every week he 'tinkers' and we all know that it never works......wait till next week he will have a few more people playing in silly positions. Hope to see everyone up there!!

Outstanding finish from Jim.....shame about Josh losing possession every time he got the ball... ;-)

8 wins out of 9 though yous were saying..

That was always crazy talk. Basically we either grow a pair and stay in the hunt until you come to Station Park or its adios. As ive said though Arbroath have been on a pretty impressive run to get to touching distance cant fault it.

Lister was actually decent first half and totally crumbled second. A good striker would've buried the chances he had.

Peters is a poacher and nothing more, you're expecting way to much from him.

So what is the point of him playing...it's not the Tennents sixes where a striker stands in the box the whole game....it's time to put in a bid for Montroses 'prolific' striker Kerr Hay. If we blow this league then Bollan has to go ....simple.

I will make the point though that should Arbroath hit the top the pressure ramps up a fair bit so who knows.

"should".....next week you mean? I suppose we could be in Clyde's shoes and facing oblivion.

Some folk on here actually give me a headache, some absolute idiots supporting Forfar![emoji85]

Performance wasn't great today, although we did well to create a lot of chances, if a lot of they chances didn't fall to Malone or Lister we would of had the game dead and buried by half time!
Mclaughlin & Bain the two best players on the park for me today which says a lot about our team today.
Formation was a total shambles!

Elgins bottle has gone a wee bit too lately we will see.Only a defeat and an Arbroath away win will put Arbroath top.I still expect a few twists good and bad.
