I suppose we'll have a better idea in a week once they have the Special General Meeting what Clydebank's plans are for next year. If they don't move this year in some way, maybe they spend the next year getting a licence and use their standing as an SFA member to create a WoSFL for 2019-20.

Do you mean that these Forums suggest that they are NOT supporting a move to the EoSL ?

The clubs you have highlighted would be an excellent addition to the EoSL/pyramid. I am still of the view that there may be a few late applications, although I am still doubtful about Bonnyrigg applying. Sauchie may be a surprise applicant, although this is pure speculation on my part.
oldandround
It would be strange if Tranent did not also jump if every other east Lothian team goes. No derbies at all, but if they went, they would likely get at least 2 games via Preston. Tasty :-)

New applicants would slot in to EOS 2, with perhaps an extra promotion slot to help bulk out an EOS 1. Does anyone know where this boundary for the regional split might be drawn? I don’t think the regional split would be as popular as the mini leagues for a few months at the start of the season with seedings to determine the bigger leagues. Seems the fairest and most logical way.

Seems the fairest and most logical way. Yeah, I don't think a regional split would be very good. The Edinburgh teams tend to be strong and the borders teams weak. Any split based on regions could easily leave a huge difference in quality.

Would guess that having the Shire doing so well in the Lowland League with ex-Camelon players and an ex-manager got some people thinking along the lines of why not us. Used to wind up Shire supporters on here about future local derbies with Camelon and Bo'ness United within 5 years, because it irritates me a bit that something that sensible in terms of clubs in the same area with similar quality teams and support levels playing against each other has always been regarded by some as an outlandish possibility. Looks like it could just about happen on that timeline, which is something I didn't really expect. Thought it was possible, if the trapdoor ever got opened, but 10 to 20 years would be much more likely.

The ground at Easthouses is oddly enough, now fully licence compliant and could get one tomorrow if they wanted! The new changing facilities etc are great. Fence is too small though. Must cost them a fortune in lost footballs Its a great ground. I love going there to watch a match. The locals are totally radge. Not made it this season. I think I make a point to soon.
Inanimate Carbon Rod
No idea! You must have some idea as to the context as my understanding is its very likely, having been told that by a Clydebank supporter.

Aren't they having to vacate Holm Park for a while next season, maybe that will delay them going into the Pyramid for a season. Maybe not.

Let's hope that the EoSL will officially announce the names of the applicants ahead of its AGM in June, which as far as I can recall, the Highland League did when they had 4 North Junior applicants for 3 vacancies in 2009 (Formartine, Turriff, Strathspey and Banks O'Dee - the latter being the unsuccessful club).
Born To Run
For those of you who haven't seen the latest posts in the Junior forum, Kilwinning's Facebook is well worth a read this evening... This post essentially confirms that the EoS is looking at running a "West of Scotland" division in parallel to the existing league, and that 5 Super Premier teams from the West Juniors have expressed an interest in joining for next season. Throw in BSC reserves, Girvan, Glasgow Uni, Bonnyton - there's the makings of a new league there if done properly!

On Friday night we chatted about the current situation in the East with the SJFA and rumours of upto 7 teams leaving the Junior game, new information has been provided by Kelty, it might not be 100% accurate but it's worth sharing, also Kelty have announced an increase in support even though they tend to win every match 10 nil, which was something that was raised at the meeting. The East of Scotland have offered to start a West Division should there be interest, we've been informed that 5 Super Premier teams are currently interested From Kelty What does the East of Scotland Football League have to offer? • Membership of EOSFL which confirms acceptance of and commitment to the pyramid system thereby satisfying a mandatory requirement of being granted a Club Licence. SJFA - No • Automatic entry to the Scottish Cup for Champion Club irrespective of licencing status which will generate a minimum income in excess of £3,000 SJFA - YES • 3 ways of Scottish Cup Entry, EOS & SOS League Champions, Alex Jack Cup Winner, Any Licenced Club SJFA - No • £3,000 Funding towards ground improvements available to all un-licenced clubs looking to gain their SFA Licence. SJFA - No • Up to £10,000 funding as an EOS club available from Scottish Football Partnership towards ground improvements. SJFA - No • Our ambition is to have all Members licenced as soon as possible and thereby automatically in the Scottish Cup every year. SJFA - No • Very likely more promotion places will be available to enter the Lowland League from Tier 6. SJFA - No • Depending on interest from that area a possible West Of Scotland division would be looked at for tier 6. SJFA - Yes • SFA Sports First Aid courses at heavily discounted rates (or free of charge). SFA Licence compliant. SJFA - No • All clubs supplied with a defibrillator and associated training. SFA Licence compliant. SJFA - No • Bespoke personalised first aid bag. SJFA - No • Personal Accident and Liability insurance incl. player to player liability paid for by the League. SFA Licence compliant. SJFA - No (EOS supply all 3 insurances that pass Licence criteria) • Match balls and training balls supplied each season. SJFA - No • Top 4 qualify for Irn Bru Cup, minimum £3,000 Prize money. SJFA - No • Up to £20,000 funding as a LL club available from Scottish Football Partnership towards ground improvements. SJFA - No SJFA • Scottish Junior Cup, £8,000 Prize money for winner . Tier 5/6 No • West region setup although It’s not part of the pyramid. Tier 5/6 No • Local and regional rivalries built over decades. Tier 5/6 In some cases No but will have as it evolves Happy to be corrected on anything here but when you see it written like this it’s shocking the way the SJFA have mismanaged the grade for their member clubs. These innovative and progressional rewards and solid structure of being part of the pyramid and the advantages that went with it was available to all Junior clubs, pity the SJFA chose not to engage. If the SJFA had canvassed their member clubs with all this information on what being part of the pyramid could offer a lot more would I’m sure have wanted to look at integrating as 1 through the SJFA, none of this research was shared with a pros and cons approach out of what now seems like snobbery, scandalous really. It’s at the stage now where it’s either over to the SJFA clubs to take matters into their own hands or put your clubs future and trust in the guys running the SJFA. *this information might not be accrurate and has been copied from another source

I hope it has been widely circulated/read. Clubs both East & West, which voted in favour of joining the pyramid , will need to justify their decision to fans, if at this pivotal moment, they chose to ignore their own results in the SJFA survey. The EoSL deadline for applications is fast approaching. Also. the SJFA's position has been considerably weakened, especially as the majority of West clubs who REPLIED to the SJFA's survey, apparently support a WoSL 'feeder' to the pyramid, in one form or another.
