If you draw attention to yourself, then don't be surprised to get attention. ETA, he was also sent off at the end of his next game against Celtic for 'offensive and insulting language', at least it wasn't racist though. So by highlighting the fact he was racially abused shay is drawing attention to himself. Prior to that there was no real issue with the player and Celtic fans but the abuse he took in the next Celtic game means he now has an issue with them. In short shay thinks Celtic fans are scum and he is not shy to let them know, and let's be honest he isn't wrong.

If only we would aim to be as well behaved as a support who sings about child abuse, stadium disasters and has the worst group of organised hooligans in the country. Milners
For about 70 minutes in that game it is the best we have played against Celtic this season. Play to that level in the cup final and we have a chance and play to the level of the 1st tens minutes and most fans will be in the pub at half time! The_Kincardine
https://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/fp/news/local/trio-celtic-supporters-return-aberdeen-trial-fighting-allegations/ Three Celtic supporters have denied taking part in fights with opposition fans after a match between the Glasgow side and the Dons.Kevin Carswell, 28, Stephen Hetherston, 29, and Martin Lochran, 28, all appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court before Sheriff Malcolm Garden. All three men are facing a charge under the offensive behaviour at football and threatening communications (Scotland) act.Prosecutors allege that the men took part in behaviour “likely to incite public disorder” on leaving Pittodrie stadium. They are accused of shouting, swearing and engaging in fights with opposition supporters on May 12 at Golf Road in the city.Carswell is also accused of assaulting a woman by punching her on the head. And both he and Hetherston are accused of assaulting a man while acting with others. They are alleged to have pushed him over a wall, struck his head with a pool ball by throwing it at him, and repeatedly kicking and punching him on the head and body. Not guilty pleas were entered on behalf of Carswell, Hetherston and Lochran, all of Coatbridge.A motion was made by Fiscal Depute Colin Neilson to impose an additional bail condition prohibiting the men from attending any regulated football match in the UK.This was opposed by the defence agent for the men who described it as “excessive and unjust”.She said all three men were season ticket holders at Celtic Football Club and had been for many years, travelling throughout UK and Europe to support the team.Sheriff Garden said he “did not think it appropriate” to grant the extra condition and released the men on bail.A pre-trial hearing was fixed for August. All three men will go on trial later that month.
