Decent lower level keeper but we need better. So are you judging this on the basis of one game V Rangers ? How much more have you seen of Urminsky than the management who reckon he’s been good enough to sign not one but TWO contract extensions.

Either way I can't see him playing that much unless our other keeper (s) get injured or he goes out on loan - this might not guarantee him game time either but would help him match fitness wise. Will he be ready to seriously compete for the No.1 Jersey next season? This is the big question and where will Lennon fit in then too?
djchapsticks
Reckon not trying to secure a keeper long term is a massive risk to be honest. Hemming is one and done this season either way - if he's good for us, Boro will keep hold of him and demand a fee we can't/won't pay and if he's rotten then we'll have no interest in signing him. Urminsky, the jury is very much still out on. What he undoubtedly needs though, at 24 is regular first team football. There's probably nobody in the squad who needs loaned out for regular game time as much as he does. To that end, we SHOULD be looking for a keeper who will come in and push Hemming as a starter but who in the worst case scenario is pretty much bedded in and good to go by latest, next season.
Insaintee
I've watched Urminsky with the youth teams a few times and there is definitely a player there. I would say potentially better than Carson, but of course with a keeper there needs to be all of the mental side and it remains to see if he can step up to the big league. I would not worry too much about him coming in. And for all the talk of Carson being a world beater I thought he was good and solid but not the best goalie we've seen in the last few years by a long chalk. Hemmings has kept 3 clean sheets in the group stages of the LC which is more than Carson did last year.

He is untested and the management can't have too much faith in him since they brought Hemming in rather than give him a chance in pre season/ cup games. It would be good to get him on loan in the championship and see how well he copes. We have Hemming for a year and then we need Urminsky to step up or bring in another keeper

"He's got real stature, a good kick on him and he's getting better and better with every training session and I think what we have on our hands is an asset. "He's someone we were very keen to secure on a new contract."

FTOF
Excellent business. We've got rid of one of our highest paid players, who seems to be a petulant individual whose "loyal"ties seem to lie with another club. We got a sizeable fee and all with a month to go before the window shuts. Also the Didees seem to be overstretching themselves financially and we can only hope history repeats itself. glenburn bud
The clamour to write off the lad Urminsky is peak St Mirren fans. He’s played one game against the blue vermin and had a bit of a wobble. Has anyone actually thought about the impact on his confidence, after that petulant fud Carson threw his toys out of the pram pre match. When he should have given the young keeper some encouragement in what was a high profile game. opportunities were few and far between for Urminsky, and when he gets his chance to show what he can do, Carson makes it all about him and his h** supporting family.
