Update reading "according to journalist Alan Nixon" its the other way round. We withdrew our interest in him weeks ago, back when Rooney signed. Nixon is a classic case of a journalist being wrong but not backing down so is framing it as a straight fight between us and Motherwell when it's not the case as we have all the people on the right side of defence that we need.

I take a bow to your knowledge of Nixon but I still think and hope we will sign another CB to take Dunnes place. I see Rooney at RWB or RB and only RCB if injuries and suspensions are fierce. At LCB we have Fraser and Taylor but Fraser is a RCB really along with Bolton. Gogic has Bolton as cover too. I think 5 CB's for 3 positions is sensible but perhaps Kenny is ready but I'm not sure of that.

I'd be shocked if we didn't sign another LCB but on the basis that Balmer isn't a LCB, (a RCB who can play RWB which is what we were apparently looking for him to play) he won't have been considered. RWB - Rooney and Elvis RCB - Bolton and Fraser (Rooney as cover) CB - Gogic (Fraser/Bolton as cover) also probably have Luke Kenny closer to first team matchday squad. LCB - Taylor and a new player LWB - Tanser and currently Sutherland (but will sign someone if Sutherland leaves.)

His contract finished on 30th June.

No idea, I assumed it would have been a done deal going by what Notts County fans (who were all for him signing for them) were saying but there would be interest from L1, I'd imagine.

There was a piece that Bradford should sign him, and if he's good enough, and he seems to be, you'd have think he will have a few options. Anyway be good to get a decent LCB in the door over the next fortnight.

Hoping JB chooses us , but Bradford are a well supported side with a big support who finished the last quarter very strong and will be among the favourites next year for promotion. That said European football and being part of a top six SPL team has its appeal too .

Stu
Three former Saints in the squad - and a former Saint as manager. Now we just need a current player to get a cap...
pozbaird
Was reading the Digby Brown stuff on the website, can’t remember an outgoing shirt / main sponsor receiving a warm cheerio before. Did I miss the minute’s applause at a pre-season game for SkyView Capital? Jesus wept, if reading corporate bolloxspeak turns you on - knock yourself out with this business bullshit porn… https://www.skyviewcapital.com Edited June 6 by pozbaird
Melanius Mullarkey
“Entrepreneurial spirit” = take a massive risk using someone else’s money and when it fails, it’s not your fault. You've forgotten Shankland. But for a horrific injury hit season, Ross Stewart will have almost certainly been there as well.
