It is interesting that you'd have thought that Ferguson's strengths would be rallying players and playing smash mouth football but he's a defeatist in terms of how we play and how he reacts to everything.

Looking at the points needed to finish above 10th in the last 8 seasons (grossing up for shortened seasons) it is about 27 points. Dumbarton are on course to get 24 points this season, so 27 looks about right at the moment. If we allow for some leeway, the target could be 30 points.
If ICT start the 2nd quarter on minus 6, that means they would need 36 points from the last 27 games, or 12 points per quarter. So, you’re looking at needing the last 3 quarters to be along the lines of Arbroath’s first quarter. Effectively being the 6th best team in the division in order to finish 9th.
If the target was 25 points (assuming Dumbarton don’t improve any) then the overall target for 9th would be 31 points, roughly 10 points per quarter, or the rest of the season being about the same as Annan have done in the first quarter. Effectively having to be 8th best in order to finish 9th.
Very rough and ready calculations.

I think I might be more angry about Ferguson still being our manager than I am about us going into administration.

So you're not in the camp he can stay if he works for free then 🤣

Still dont think some of our fans get it though, Ferguson goes if we cut back all higher earners yet we will somehow be splashing cash to recruit from externally.

What's the opposite of a siege mentality? Absolutely stinking, hopefully BDO find a way to get him out the door on day 1.

He will be gone. He's done the media spin bit about sacrifices taking no salary for a few wks, talked about the financial position  and where we were when he took over. Its likely he knows he cant keep us up already citing the points deduction so its feasible he leaves and makes a point about how much of a basket case we are/were which is all the media down South will see. Might be enough there that his connections ignore the whole last year of his CV.

Surely that's not right? I was told six clubs would go bust if Sevco weren't admitted directly into the Premiership?

Just reading up on the last few pages with Mr Savage seemingly riding into town on the back of a white charger..    He makes adminstration sound great, surprised more clubs are not trying it out.  Or is he the Highland equivalent to Dave King,...

The reason we all trust Savage implicitly is because it is common knowledge he is an astute businessman. He oversaw the most successful financial period in the clubs history. His competence is proven and he holds the best interest of the club at heart. He doesn’t stand to benefit personally at all.

And yet, he announced that the debt had been written off without first writing said debt off, or seemingly checking that it was even possible to do this?  That doesn't sound very competent to me.

A three-year contract…. Have we learned nothing from the whole Dodds saga?

If he does well with us then it's possible another club comes in for him and we will benefit with Compo.
