You might be discussing a poll by the bbc in which more Celtic fans voted than anyone else, but I was commenting on the video a page or two back of Alex Ferguson humouring Celtic fans at a Celtic event by saying winning the European cup was the greatest achievement in British football. Think @kennie makevin is right to highlight Nottingham Forest’s rise from flirting with relegation from tier 2 to league Champions, double league cup winners and double European cup winners in the space of 3 years. For all the talk of Pep, Jurgen and Ancelotti as the best ever, Brian Clough has to be in the conversation. I honestly think Sir Alex knows lots more about football than you do. Wouldn’t you agree?

It wasn’t Celtic fans asking him the question and he had absolutely no reason to say that as none of the questions led him to say that. Furthermore as an ex Rangers player he knows saying something like this loses him favour so again why say if he genuinely doesn’t believe it? Makes no sense. But yeah you and Kennie, who refuses to give Celtic any credit for anything and doesn’t have an objective view, definitely have an opinion that holds more weight than one of the greatest football managers of all time. Let’s get real You have an opinion and that’s ok but that is all it is. Edited June 3, 2022 by Jinky67

Grangemouth Bairn
You can tell it’s close season when people have spent 3 days arguing about a team that played over 50 years ago winning an on-line popularity contest.
Clown Job
It’s wild how a wee daft BBC poll has upset some people If you don’t think the 67 team that won it all, then fair enough. Just don’t get annoyed that others do, or don’t be petty trying to devalue the achievements they made.

It was very amusing.

Why does that annoy you ??

I heard the old Rangers who died won a European trophy many years back. They kept it so quiet that they were presented with the trophy in a small room in the stadium. Is that really true?

It's the equivalent of John Cleese being quest of honour at a dinner honouring Dawn French & declaring 'The Vicar of Dibley' to be the towering achievement of British sitcom. Lovely thing to say to faithful, very polite and respectful but utter nonsense.
