gannonball
Looks a unit. Apparently he's a advanced playmaker. Only 3 goals in 2 seasons however.

senorsoupe
Welcome to Paradise Olivier! He looks a tidy prospect, French International at all youth levels plus 41 appearances in Serie A with Genoa. If there was any manager in British football who can take a young player to the next level it's Brendan Rodgers.

I really thought that pairing would have had a much bigger impact with them being long term team mates.

If you asked me at the time who'd be making the bigger impact at Celtic Park, Armstrong or Mackay-Steven, I would have said GMS. This move could be perfect for all, Aberdeen get themselves a good player and GMS can kick start his career.

I think Aberdeen have got a bargain, possible replacement for McGinn?
wastecoatwilly
When you look at the players Celtic have signed from other clubs in Scotland not many have been successful in recent years there is a argument that Celtic should not touch the Scottish market?

I certainly think he's good enough to be a replacement for McGinn. 25 minutes ago, wastecoatwilly said: When you look at the players Celtic have signed from other clubs in Scotland not many have been successful in recent years there is a argument that Celtic should not touch the Scottish market? He's a good defender (but not so good substitute striker) and is looking for a fresh start after some off-field problems.

Could be good news for Scotland too, as we've been trying to convince him for years to swap over from England.

The change of culture and country might just be what he needs. Shame he is out of favour and hopefully not a donkey waiting to be put out to pasture, but I don't see that here after seeing him play through MoTD. A decent defender indeed that has played against the best in the EPL. Won't be cheap though!
