The utter contempt Willy holds for Rodgers is something I can get on board with.

Exiting the cup at the first stage hopefully has some pressure building on him. A dodgy result or two in the coming weeks would be interesting.

Ross county looking to get into the top 6 this weekend be careful for what you wish for M8.

It’s the way it goes. I’d say Beale is already under scrutiny and of course, pressure will build if we see further poor results. It was just kind of Rodgers to take some of that flak for himself with him already being a bit of an unpopular figure amongst some Celtic fans.

As much as I enjoyed the invincible season there is no fanfare this time it's a clean slate,we've regressed since St Brendan has came in but that doesn't mean he can't fix it,Beale has won nothing so no grace for him.

Kobayashi is Injured as well I'm led to believe so yes I'm suggesting to get a centre back on loan whilst we don't have a centre back for the bench since the transfer window is open. Having 2 cb's going in to the extra European games is a bit suicidal especially if we need to throw on an extra CB at times.

Yeah, fair point. BR seems more concerned with stock piling wingers. If you sign Palma that’s the 3rd in the door since BR came back and 8 in total with Abada, Forrest, Haksabanovic, Johnston and Maeda on top of that.

Johnstons done here, simply not good enough and misses more games than available for. Haska apparently wants away. Forrest is done and Abada blows hot and cold like most wingers, perfect example he was totally anonymous in last game v killie (as was Maeda tbf) and is more an impact player imho.

CELTIC have confirmed the arrival of Honduran international winger Luis Palma in a £3.5million deal.

And Liverpool central defender Nat Phillips has also arrived in Glasgow to wrap up a one-year loan deal.

The champions also want to add Benfica’s Portuguese midfielder Paulo Bernardo and a new left-back before the window closes at midnight on Friday.

Mail Sport revealed Celtic’s interest last week, with Aris winger Palma now the seventh signing of the summer for Brendan Rodgers, the 23-year-old putting pen to paper on a five-year deal.

Capped six times for Honduras, Palma could now be pitched in for a baptism of fire against Rangers at Ibrox on Sunday.

‘It is a very special day for me and an honour to be announced as a Celtic player,’ said the new signing. ‘I can’t wait to be part of this great club, a club I know all about as one of the great names in world football.

‘I know that Celtic always aims to play football the right way, a team that entertains and has a pedigree of winning and delivering success, and this is what I want to be part of.

‘I have spoken to the manager and I’m really looking forward to joining him and my team-mates and starting my journey with such a brilliant club.

‘I have already had so many messages of support and I thank all our fans for the welcome I have been given.

‘I can’t wait to play in front of the Celtic supporters and I will do all I can to bring our fans good football and some good moments.’

Celtic are also hopeful of extending the contracts of Israeli winger Liel Abada and Japanese midfielder Reo Hatate. Despite reports of an agreement with Abada, Mail Sport understands one or two hurdles have yet to be overcome. Hatate has put further discussions over his own situation on hold until the window closes.

I take it the enthusiasm for bringing thro young Scottish talent via 'B' teams has subsided somewhat ?
