alloagh
I am told that tomorrows Ref is Finnie. Be prepared for plenty of cards. He may be a PE teacher somewhere.
Clayhole Blue
Have yet to see a consistent refereeing performance this season.Looking forward to a wee trip to the Recs tomorrow although it’s rarely a fruitful venue for us.

Blue1870
Mostly central belt fans on our part i expect. Wont be many. Noticed the home crowds have dropped by over 100 recently due to the festivities. Hope these fans come back.

Not helped by 16:41 being the last train from Alloa that will get you back to Stranraer before midnight. Alloa should complain to ScotFail about the massive loss of income they will suffer because of this.

scott666
Or.....get the 5.01 bus Alloa to Stirling, 5.29 train from Stirling to Glasgow then 6.30 train to Stranraer. Back by 8.53. Using google maps for routes sometimes comes up with alternative solutions when the trains themselves don't match the start and finish times of the game. English Wasp
Looking forward to this. Missed the last two away games, and with last week getting called off, haven't seen an Alloa game for a month.
Not a Bee
Adam Martin must have pissed Goodwin off massively as he is consistently overlooked for wide position with PJ playing left in last couple of games and the new boy replacing Kevin today. Strikers playing wide?
Blue1870
Poor start to 2nd half cost us. Never got going at all. Belford made some great saves. Could have snatched a draw late on but that would have been a tad lucky.

martynwasp
Belford made 3 or 4 fantastic saves however he also threw the ball onto Ross Stewart's head for our goal and then faked an injury for about 10 minutes to spare his own embarrassment. Really good win today, thought Stewart had a great debut

Really good win today, thought Stewart had a great debut Decent keeper but unfortunately there is seldom a game that he doesn’t let himself down by his antics , Tuesday night he did his usual by reacting to an opponent having the audacity to be near him , grabbed him and squared up to him ( potential red these days ) but great shot stopper

Having said that, his point blank save from Crossan today was one of the best i've ever seen
falkirkwasp
Not a great game today, but delighted after not playing for over a month. Only one team going to win the match after we got our goal.Goalie would drive me insane aswell, likes to be the centre of attention. But as previously said made some fantastic saves. Father Barrys Sign (Top Half)
I really like Belford, he's a character and provides entertainment. Need more guys like this and he had an absolutely terrific game pulling off some great saves. I thought second half in particular we played really well and despite the single goal margin the better team by a fair distance. Crossan excellent on the left, and probably the best game Renton has had in an Alloa shirt. Thought it was a strange decision to sub both, but there may well have been a reason for both which wasn't obvious. Crossan didn't look too happy going off. Excellent debut from Ross Stewart, with a major bonus notching the winner. Useful on the ball and provided a presence. Did really well filling Cawleys shoes. Flannigan and Hetherington also busy in the middle- both can stake a claim to be Alloas best player of the season so far. Great 3 points.
Redwedge77
No failures in the Alloa team today. The result never looked in any doubt after our slow start to the game. Thought Crossan had Hamill on toast the whole game. Renton played to his strengths and held the ball up and brought the midfield players into the game. Stewart looks comfortable on the ball awhen running at opposing defence caused problems. We should have been out of sight with chances we missed at the start of the first half. Thought when Renton was taken off we failed to hold the ball up top and was coming back at us quickly. It’s going to be interesting team selection for upcoming games to see who plays. fruitbowl
Thought we had to work hard for the points today. Stranraer were always in the game but appeared to lack quality up front. Surely Finnie is near retirement, the sooner the better.
BFTD
Some very strange decisions from Finnie today, but thankfully nothing that seemed to make a lot of difference to the result in the end. Very familiar structure to the game today - rode our luck a bit in the first half, before putting on some decent pressure in the second, getting a goal, and falling back a bit towards the end. Seems to work reasonably most of the time, and results are hard to argue with. Good to see us managing without Kev - Stewart seems like an excellent addition. What a turnaround it's been for big Renton; starting to get a wee soft spot for him now. Can't argue with Andy Graham getting the MOTM, but there were a few other players who would've deserved it too. Belford had a great game despite the goal, which will be interesting to see again on the highlights. What was Hamill up to that got him such a warm reception from the terrace?
