Scumjob
I like Harley and I wish he was good. But at any level higher than the Championship (and in it sometimes) he's a bombscare unfortunately.

accies1874
Watched the Norwich game this morning. Thought Hanley was pretty good on the whole: impressive positioning and anticipation, strong in the air, talking to teammates, calm and crisp at recycling the ball even if he wasn't progressing it much. On the bad side, I can imagine a lot of teams making sure he has the ball and not letting McTominay and Tierney playing forward (think Hanley tried two long balls and both failed), plus he's always going to struggle in a foot race. You can definitely see him slotting into the back three nicely, but I'd keep Gallagher for now.

Scumjob
I'll say it now. Stephen Welsh looks our best prospect at centre back since John Kennedy. -

I'll assume this is a bit that's going over my head. If a 21 year old with less than 30 games in his career to date, who hasn't even been very good in those games, is our top CB prospect then we're in trouble.

If Shane Duffy hadn't turned out a complete turnip he'd be out on loan to QoS or something.
Marshmallo
I appreciate it's not the high level of Oostende or Reading but the young lad Cooper is captaining Leeds United again tonight and has the cigars out. -

Cool, thats us sorted then. No need for keeping tabs on any other centre backs. Edited February 8, 2021 by BingMcCrosby
Marshmallo
Just wish he would sign for Cercle Brugge so we could see how good he really is

Presumably he's trolling, considering Welsh couldn't get a game as a CB at Morton last season and is only getting games at Celtic because there's literally no alternative.

They have a German international and Spanish international CB who will be their first choice when fit. He's really a championship level player. Decent but no better than several that we have. Yes , well Cooper is a Scottish international !
ewan14
In addition Tierney , and Gallagher , are not fit atm

It is mad to me that the captain of a top half EPL team is eligible for us and he's not good enough for the trainspotters on here who would rather debate the merits of Jack Hendry or Andy Considine

And he actually played 18 times in half a season at Morton, hardly 'couldn't get a game' more like played every week. Not at centre back tho, he was exclusively at right back. Which was more down to our shite management than anything he did.
