Donathan
Believe Edmund will end Murray’s role as British number one now?
peasy23
Incredible stuff. Andy Murray will be seething inside if Edmund pulls off an upset to win the tournament! Murray is partly responsible for Edmund improvement in the last couple of years since he invited him to come along to his Miami winter training camp. lichtie23
My comment was off the cuff and meant in jest. Good to see it’s been taken so seriously!I have no doubt Andy will be delighted that Kyle is doing so well. But I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t have even the slightest hint of jealously. A fit Andy would have strolled it so far IMO

Nightmare
Great result. Thought Edmund had a real chance whether it was Dimitrov or Kyrgios. Both, whilst talented, are complete flakes. Standard Rafa withdrawal rather than taking a loss.

cameron2000
If Berdych beats Federer then none of the ‘Big Four’ will be in the semi finals. Anyone know when that last happened?

Loki
Despite Edmund winning quite comfortably he gave away 48 points in unforced errors. His forehand is an absolute weapon. Really pleased he got through that. Feared that error count would really cost him, but Dimitrov was utter muck. Edmund has a great chance against Cilic, even giving away errors like he did today, Cilic under pressure will error all over the court. As nightmare said Nadal retiring than taking a loss is poor. Did it to Andy years ago, and he was beaten badly in every set, then just gave up. I really think he thinks it takes the shine off any Federer win as he wasn't fully fit. The best result for Men's tennis would be Roger losing tonight. Berdych needs to start well and get a lead and put pressure on Federer. Berdych can do that in patches, but does he really believe he can do that anymore?
