That was on this day, October 17th, 1959.

This is Gerry Baker's other goal. This picture is framed in the 1877 Club at the stadium.

The Rangers player on the right is Willie Telfer who is St. Mirren's record appearance holder (counting wartime). He must have played for Saints at Ibrox over a dozen times without a win yet as soon as he transfers to Rangers Saints go and win at Ibrox for the first time since 1905.
