What's the most "Tin Pot" thing you've seen in the SPFL

For about four months he was unplayable. Must have been in that time slot.

He was quite one dimensional though. It took about 4 months for defenders to realise if they just gave themselves a yard to stop him knocking it past them he was relatively ineffective.

There’s one video that comes to my mind when talking about Peter Pawlett. Think I’d get in trouble from the mods if I shared it in this thread however

Do it! 😂 No idea what you are referring to.

I’ll be honest I had to look up who Pawlett was in terms of achievements in fitba. I’d honestly forgotten who he was.

For some reason I thought he was perhaps Aberdeens 1st £1M “superstar” but that was Paul Bernard.

Both started with a P. 😂

TBF to him, it wasn't so much that he was so limited but that we had to change styles 6 months in to Derek's reign.

He still looked good in Europe when we had to counter attack.

I think it’s a bit from both columns. He definitely suffered when teams played deeper, but it did expose his limitations, which is why we ended up going for Kenny McLean.

iirc the cups were handed out to English cups around the coronation of George VI - this particular one went to Stoke

Rangers played a friendly against them to raise funds after a mining disaster, and the Stoke Chairman gave them the cup as a thank you they wanted rid of it.

So technically it's second hand and the King didn't give them one

It was a glorious time. Hearts rodgering Rangers. Motherwell pumping them. Even Hibs beat them 4-0. At one point in January, Aberdeen were 4 points clear in the Premiership.

It's beyond comprehension that we allowed ourselves to go back to the horrendous 2 club monopoly after that brief glimpse of what could be here.

Rangers only took 4 points from 12 against us that season and we even led twice in the game they won.

Beating them 2-0, then 3-0 at Palmerston was fun.

Oh how we laughed.
