I'm pretty sure he washed his hands of the land so not sure who owns it

Every chance he bought it in case the club resurrected the Wimpey bid for housing, Once that was dead in the water, It would make sense for the club to have it. If someone bought it and built a unit there, it could cause problems on match days with access.

I see Ross Doohan has signed for Aberdeen.  Good luck to him - real potential to be a cracking goalkeeper.

Be No.2 to help with homegrown quota for Europe. Sadly the Ross County loan seems to have ruined him given both Tranmere and Forest Green fans were delighted when he left.

Have heard there is a problem with ground contamination from the old railway yard.

Maybe teams in the league feel they have less of a re-build than others.

With regard to Raith, that's likely to be the case to an extent. And of course they have new owners wanting to make splash.

Where others are concerned, I think they are biding their time for one reason or another.

There will be plenty of contamination with coal, oil etc. Plenty of other former railway yards have houses on them now.

If planning permission had been granted not only would there have been houses there but also on the car park at Somerset. It was a good decision from the club's point of view.

Yeah fair point there'll probably be asbestos and all sorts underground
