Well atm it's a No, No, Maybe, Yes.

Well, I don't think we need to worry too much as I don't think we'll be doing a "Brechin" with this current group of players.

You can argue all you want, that there is plenty of time to sort things as there quite clearly is. It doesn’t change the fact that our recruitment in the middle of the park and in the full back areas has been disgraceful though and doesn’t match up with the style Bullen has told us he wants to play. They’ve only given him the players to do it higher up the park.

Not sure Arbroath away is much of a different proposition to those other games. The ground and weather conditions up there make it a tricky place to visit

I’m pretty sure they won at home like twice last season - so yeah it should be a different proposition.

Yeah we’ve had a dreadful record at home for ages. Dreadful team last year obviously helped that. We are looking much more like it this year though so can hopefully start to turn that round, thought we should’ve taken something if not all 3 points v Queens Park.

Also look at the forecast, it looks like it’ll be as calm a day as you could hope for.

When everywhere is windy and has bad weather Arbroath is also windy with bad weather, it’s not some unique micro climate it’s just a very exposed football ground. You get 3/4/5 bad days out of 20 odd home games a season it’s not every single week.

How dare you come on here and dispel one of Scottish footballs favourite stereotypes.

Fully prepared to be completely wrong and left to slither away with my tail between my legs and leave it to the experts in @D'Jaffoand @GaryMc93 but we appear to have a new Twitter follower, who seems to be a family member of Sunderland striker Max Thompson..

You then add in the McGeady link…

At least if I’ve got it horribly wrong, it won’t be a long wait with the deadline!

Heard the same this morning ....

Personally I was happy to give Reading another chance so was never that bothered about a LB, however when we released Houston I had hoped for a Liam Smith type replacement and certainly wasn't happy with McAllister and the other boy.

As far as Midfield is concerned, again I'd expected a David Wotherspoon type to compliment what we already had and maybe another loan signing, however the injuries have certainly brought that area much more into focus.

The jury is currently out on the 2 new Midfield acquisitions but it's far too early to write either or both off and who knows it may turn out to be excellent recruitment, who knows ?

If I'm being honest, the Chalmers signing has been the most bizarre given that we already had an abundance of quality players in wide areas (in relation to how short we were elsewhere) but I can't help thinking that much of that was driven by a reaction to fans as much as anything else, which if the case is certainly no way to run your recruitment.

As I say, only time will tell and it will be Bullen and the Recruitment team who will ultimately need to carry the can or bask in the plaudits and we'll just be the bystanders as always.

Mowbray doesn't seem to fancy him having him down as just a "runner" and "hard worker" with nothing great technically.

Having said that, there's a big difference between what's good enough for the top end of the English Championship and what's going to be passable for a Mid table Scottish Championship side !!

This is like some kind of porn for Bullen.

Yes, that did cross my mind, however it's pretty much the equivalent of us punting Fraser out to a League 2 club in Scotland where I'm sure he'd do a job, so assuming we get this boy hopefully will be the same.

Reading about him he's just under 6ft and holding the ball up is a strength so that's exactly what we're looking for to change things up a bit as Rose looks like a runner rather than any sort of target man.

The version we had of him about 10 years ago (or was it more) was pretty decent.

Booth would be a decent option at this level for LB, surely?
