Happy to see Guthrie to get on and it not be McGeady

Was about to tweet that. A lot to be positive about here, taken a deflection and a goal from a player who shouldn’t be on the pitch to beat us. Definitely in a better position for the important games to come than what we’d be under Bullen.

Loads of positives to take here, have not been embarrassed, shows again that we can compete and have nothing to fear of any one in the championship, a brilliant cash injection, the academy boys getting invaluable minutes and experience. I'm now even more convinced we were have made the right appointment in Brown and Whittaker, this season is to far gone but next season is going to be different, Livi likely to come down and the league could be any ones.

‪Disappointing result, but thought they played the right game tactically. Just needed a couple of moments to go the other way.‬ Good effort.

We were beginning to look really disjointed towards the end under Bullen, so good to see us at least look organised. Also good to see us go 2 up front, as Dowds was being left very isolated.  A lack of goals is still going to be an issue for us going forward, unless Willoughy turns out to be a lot better than his CV suggests.

Not sure where we are with Chalmers - needs to get the finger out pretty quickly if he wants a contract offer from us as I don’t think Brown will stand for that level of effort from him.  Seems like he will be quite ruthless (ask Albinson), so Chalmers needs to recognise quick that we’ve departed from Bullen’s enthusiastic dad style of management.

Didn’t really lay a glove on Rangers but didn’t look like getting pumped, we know the frailties in the team and they were only exploited twice against one of the top teams in the country.

No embarrassment and a good payday.

NEXT.

Think Chalmers will be best in games where we have a lot of the ball. He's got a big role to play the rest of the way.

My gut feeling at the moment is that Chalmers won’t have the consistency or work rate to satisfy Brown.  But he has enough games to prove me wrong.  We’ll probably get outbid for him anyway come the summer.
