And yet this particular "glorified social club" (who have been in "the senior leagues" nearly as long as Clyde) are above you in the table, having played a game less...
We are 4 league games into the season its hardly anything to get excited about.

This is absurd.  Award the three points to Cowden and reimburse the travelling support

Wouldn't disagree with that.

It embarrases everyone in the division (and scottish football in general) if it's getting laughed at across the media.

Just back from Elgin and still raging.  The Elgin fans were just as annoyed as the Cowden fans, an absolute shambles. Did no one from Elgin have a look at the pitch before the Ref? If anyone had a look this morning they would have time to do, or attempt to do something about it.

Did all the gravel/stone chips mysteriously appear at lunchtime?

Hope Elgin get hauled over the coals for this, fans of both clubs giving up their time and money. What a joke of a club.

Well that was fun. Big accident on A9 , so had to turn back and go up via Braemar, only to hear game off when we reached  Dufftown. Bacon roll then  back home through terrible traffic jam  at Blairgowrie.Hopefully game can be played on one of the international weekends

Hopefully with some free weekends coming up the rearranged game is played on a Saturday.  Always think it's a great advantage to Elgin in the winter when they drag opponents up on a Tuesday night  with players coming straight from work, sitting on a couch for 3-6 hours and facing the same prospect back. Wonder how many points that advantage gives them each year? Borough Briggs closes down quicker than a London airport in the winter.

Really?  You do know Elgin have to go that same distance to away games for a mid-week game!

Next time you make the trip, you'll find GRAVEL on the pitch, and the game won't be called off till half an hour before kick off. Enjoy the experience.

We've had plenty last minute call offs, even one at Cowdenbeath at 2.30pm last season but we don't have a leg to stand on in this case, waterlogged/frozen pitches are down to nature, today's call off was a club trying to get away with using a pitch that was clearly unplayable and has been for months, Tatters justification of the other referees passed the pitch so he thought this one would too isn't acceptable, it's a disgrace it's got to this point.

Correct, you really do have my sympathy. Many Elgin fans not best pleased today.

Bizarre comment to make seeing as a good chunk of our squad travel from the central belt for home games.

given theres free weekends coming up itll be a further disgrace if this is made midweek.

elgin ought to be paying cowdens travel expenses too

We'll probably get a hefty fine for this shambolic effort so you might have to get your travel costs back at £2 a week till we raise some cash!

Well that was a different day from usual - team at Elgin for prematch by 11.30. Then the game was off and with A9 blocked team bus had to head home the long way round via Aberdeen. Between Aberdeen and Dundee there was a sudden loud bang. A pheasant hit the bus windscreen and it was transformed into a spiders web pattern. However drivers bit was not too bad and we carried on after he phoned for another bus to come out and meet us en-route as he would need to take the statutory rest period from driving before we got back. Bus though turned into a jolly affair with singing and laughter as we made the best of it
