Maybe in Spal vs Fiorentina?Indeed there was. Fiorentina had the ball at one end, SPAL broke upfield and scored. The VAR then got the referee to have a look at a possible penalty to Fiorentina before the break, which was given. It was probably the right decision (and the correct way to handle it, not giving it just in case then waiting for the next break in play) but it meant that SPAL had a goal chalked off while Fiornentia scored instead. You can imagine the kind of reaction that would have led to in a big derby game or something.
