Guest Bob Mahelp
4 years after the building being devastated, it looks like it's happened again. Heartbreaking.
Savage Henry
4 years after the building being devastated, it looks like it's happened again. Heartbreaking. I don’t know what to say, really. Seems like the O2 has been gutted as well.
Harry Kinnear
This is terrible news. Was in the O2 about a month ago, such a shame that this has happened again.
Northsea80
Link on the bbc website shows the roof of the O2 ABC on fire and about to collapse.
Bert Raccoon
Sad stuff, looks like The Art School is unsalvageable this time and it's not looking good for The ABC either.
Melanius Mullarkey
Aye looks like the Art School is completely fucked.

MP_MFC
A lot of major fires in Glasgow in the last few years. Makes you wonder if there's something sinister going on - other than insurance jobs / developers eyeing up prime real estate.
jamamafegan
School of Art is absolutely gubbed, it’s finished.Things don’t look great for the ABC either. Real shame.

Maybe a chance to level large parts of it and start again.
Dindeleux
Was at Charing Cross when it first went up and you could feel the heat from that far away. Never saw a fire like that before. -
Inanimate Carbon Rod
Im not so bothered about the art school but gutted about the ABC, saw some great gigs in there and it was my favourite venue in Glasgow.

Real shame. Although the School of Art will be a bigger loss in terms of being iconic and a tourist attraction, when it comes down to it a greater proportion of Glaswegians will probably miss the ABC more - for my money it was the best medium sized gig venue in Scotland.
Dee Man
Spent many a Fri/Sat night in the Art School sinking diesels, puffing on a doobie and watching underground UK Hip Hop acts. RIP The Glasgow School of Art my old friend.

NotThePars
The GSA union still looks fine but the building they were refurbishing looks like it’s fucked beyond repair. They were already selling the ABC weren’t they? Can’t wait for some exciting new luxury student apartments right in the heart of the city!

Mark Connolly
A lot of love for the GSA and ABC here, but no mention of the effect on Campus, which will no doubt have suffered significant improvements as a result of this fire.
Sergeant Wilson
The council should have the guts to bulldoze Sauchiehall Street in one go. Rather than pay dodgy security firms protection money and then allow them to fight a turf war, burning it down as they go.
Lurkst
Absolute disaster, unbelievable for it to happen again so soon
